Welcome to Getbig.

I seem to recall Jim Cornette in a documentary on either Owen Hart or The Macho Man, Randy Savage.  It was in a series called "The Dark Side of the Ring".

WWF wrestlers seem to be the group of people who die at rates even faster than IFBB pro bodybuilders...as impossible as would seem to be.

Vince McMahon in 2007 would have been good in a remake of The Breakfast Club.

Not really.  He is way down compared to other times in his career.

Because unlike wrestlers, pro BBers just sit around, eat, sleep and train half ass.  They don't have to pack up and visit 5 cities in one week, perform by taking bumps and stiff work night after night.   Pretty sure that not many pro BBers have the level of drug addictions that wrestlers using die from.

The list of wrestlers dying young and before middle age is insane! Like you said even worse than bodybuilding. Lots of drug overdoses. I'd imagine the beating their bodies take there is major painkiller abuse.

Not strange really. Considering they were often on the road over 300 days a year, wrestling almost every night and then still having to find time to train at the gym in between travelling which included long-distance driving and flying.

They would get injuries and just be expected to continue and work through them, or they would lose their spot or job, so they would just take more drugs.

It is different now though, they wrestle a lot less days and there is more doctor oversight if they have any injuries.

Cornette is hilarious, he does it without a script too. His interviews are fucking genius.

I listen to him on Youtube everyday.  He journaled everything during his whole career, so he can tell you exactly what happened and when with no memory lapses.
