Cosmopolitan Magazine Pitches Obesity To Women Despite Heightened COVID Risk

Kinda amazing to see Cosmo Magazine saying that being overweight is healthy.   I am pretty sure that almost every doctor or nurse out there would say that this is an incredible misstatement.

What is going on in the minds of the editors of Cosmo?  Are they really serious?

A few years ago I was reading an article in Men's fitness about the worlds fittest man. It was a guy that competed in Triathlons or iron man contests, not sure which.. but had a Dad Body... The point was you could be in fantastic shape and not look like a fitness model. But I agree the ones in your post don't seem all that healthy.

Haha healthy? Obesity is the second biggest cause of cancer after smoking, and it looks absolutely fucking disgusting those two “women” photographed are repulsive eyesores who should never be allowed to feel even the slightest bit good about themselves

If I'm understanding correctly, you'll take the Nubian princess on the left and I get the one on the right?  Deal!

:D  Agreed.  Our culture is going to hell when we put these monstrosities up as positive role models to women.

Whatever I stand for...I'm going to lose.  I may as well accept this now, so I can be prepared for where ever humanity goes.

Is transhumanism the goal?

And all studies on high body weight and its relationship mortality and morbidity show that they are linearly correlated.

Ron?  He's fat yes, according to the BMI.  Not to rule out the BMI - I follow it myself.  I am currently 30-lb overweight according to the BMI, and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who says 30-lb overweight isn't fat.  It's morning now, so I'm probably 5'9.3" [since I haven't technically gotten out of bed yet].  And if you check that height with the BMI, I am probably 30-lb overweight [195-lb to 200-lb].

In reality, I have a bit of a stomach now, but it would be model-sleek within two months IF I HAD ACCESS TO A PROPER GYM/FACILITY.

 >:( >:( >:(

My goal is to stay a consistent 175-lb, but it gets somewhat annoying to commit to that with gyms [and the entire province] going into and out of lockdown.  ::)

Lastly...what makes you say they are alluding to mental health?

Gyms are overrated and unnecessary for weight control.

It's more a complete lack of willpower, or true desire.

Come on bro.  I have not stepped foot in a gym in a year and being going savage daily.   Every FNG day.

In a dirty dungeon gym every day 4:30 am.

Suck it up.

Tiny little slice of the stuff we use.

They already are shamed. Bringing in tupperware containers of chicken, rice, and broccoli draw the ire of many fatties in an office environment.

I agree, in terms of weight loss, or being healthy in general.

But I do want full workout facility to train for strength, and specifically, for strongman events.

What does the word "strongman" mean to you?
