I think people forget that Twitter is not a 'public' business - it is owned by Facebook, both which lean more liberal, and the idea of free speech long went away from these two, hence why new social media's are popping up.

But banning is just stupid - when America loses the right of free speech and discussion in a civil matter, what is next?

Maybe getting rid of any word or books that seem offensive to someone? Maybe letting Cosmopolitan tell everything that being overweight and fat is 'safe and healthy'.  When you have one side blocking another side, there goes the right of free speech.

Whether you like it or not,

So, having 30-40 million Americans believing that they should not be vaccinated, that there is a cabal of lizard people (aliens) involved in a pedophilia ring and that the Viking Hat QAnon shaman is the president of USA is normal to you and we should continue misinforming these poor lost souls. Great Ron, just great!

Do you ever think of idiots saying that Jews are guilty of every imaginable world failure and saying that you support this type of misinformation percolating through the low classes?
Do you know what happened to Germany from 1918 to 1939?

Gimme a break!

Truth be told, I don’t understand why he tolerated Twitter for so long. Why not just start his own website and say fuck you to Jack and Zuckerberg? Just as easy to go to donaldtrump.com as it is to go to Twitter or Facebook.

If you think you can communicate as effectively by posting stuff on a website shows you fundamentally do not understand power of social media

Using Ron as an example of alleged hypocrisy from a free speech proponent is a bad example.  Ron is one of the only people I know who allows what is, for a private business/forum, as close to actual free speech as one can get, without risking the platform being overrun by spam, personal attacks [including attacks on wives and families], doxing, and in general - allowing speech that would turn this board into a verbal ghetto or sewer.

And on top of that, Ron HAS a sub-forum here for content like that [one which, by the looks of it, I should be checking out much more.  :D  But I stopped watching porn in May of 2019, just as a personal mental health exercise - not that I was ever a big porn viewer or anything].  Here is that sub-forum:

http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?board=17.0

That being said...and as much as I've been trying to my best to avoid meeting new women [on top of not watching porn], that rear in the first photo sure looks delectable.  :o

Does she live in Thunder Bay?  If so - Port Arthur or Fort William [I'm in PA]?

Have her PM me please.  Thank you.

Bye.

You have a point. Censorship is not good because it reduces our right to freedom of expression. I almost all cases, I oppose it.

However, when someone with enough influence on a huge group of people that they could lead them to start a civil war over something as ridiculous (in the scope of things) as who gets to sit on the toilet in the private bathroom attached to the Oval office in the White House for the next four years.

Jim Jones was responsible for 900 deaths. These were people who were so enthralled by him that they willingly drank poisoned Kool Aid. Think of how many more people might have joined his cult if the internet and social media were around back then. If it had been and you had the ability to close his 'Twitter' account, would you have done so? As much as I don't like censorship, I believe there are rare occasions when it is necessary for the good of all.

Have you considered that Facebook, Twitter, et al are shutting down Trump's accounts to avoid being sued. If they knowingly gave voice to a madman who started a civil war because his ego was bruised, don't you think they would be held culpable?

I understand what you’re saying but he’s not just some guy with a website, he’s the most famous person in the world and if they’re  going to flag every one of his fucking posts, what’s the point? In the end, what good did Twitter do him?

Normally, a personal Website would not be nearly as effective. However, Trump already has an enormous audience (millions), and a brand. I don't believe he'd have any trouble reaching his base with his own website. Also, I suspect he would censor anyone and anything that didn't agree with him just as he does with the people around him. Post something he didn't like and YOU'RE FIRED.

Bullshit. It’s a leftist site that censors anything they don’t want to hear. Why did they censor the hunter Biden story when it turned out that it was actually being investigated by the justice department?

Better question. Why did they not censor Trump before now? He's been violating their rules for years and they let it slide. If anyone else posted the inflammatory crap he did and they would have been history with the click of a mouse.

So, having 30-40 million Americans believing that they should not be vaccinated

I know you wrote that hoping that no one would notice the sleight of hand you used to conflate the antivaxxers who emerged within the past year over untested mRNA vaccines for a virus with a 99.73% survival rate for people under 70 with the antivaxxers who refuse to vaccinate their children with the decades' long safety-proven MMR vaccine series of inoculations, which begun as a movement started by fraudulent research by Andrew Wakefield - who lost his medical license in the UK - and resulted in the deaths of nearly 10,000 people, most of whom were children, and the preventable illnesses of over 150,000 more [presumably also mostly children], propped up by Playboy Playmate genius Jenny McCarthy, thanks to a platform given to her by Oprah and other media talking heads...

...but it's not the same thing.

Not all vaccines are the same, and seeing the long-term impact vaccines can have on our immune systems by preventing us from fighting viruses that pose little to no threat [depending on your age and health status] has assured me that I will never get a standard flu shot again until I'm at least 60 - if not 65.  Let alone a new vaccine using new technology that, by definition, has no long-term safety testing incorporated in its production and administration.  And that doesn't even take into consideration the matter of the legal indemnity given to Pfizer by the UK government and the fact that the Pfizer CEO himself stated that he himself won't be getting the vaccine any time soon [because he doesn't want to "cut in line" - how noble of him!]

You're purposely obfuscating the legitimate concerns of rational people by conflating longstanding vaccines with excellent safety ratings with new vaccines - brand new vaccine technology, even - as if only an irrational conspiracy theorist "antivaxxer" would possibly object to getting a vaccine for a virus that poses almost no threat to his life - or even his health.

I'll trust my immune system.  Thank you for your concern though - but your implication that I am some tinfoil hat antivaxxer is completely inappropriate in light of the aforementioned facts.

So, having 30-40 million Americans believing [...] that there is a cabal of lizard people (aliens) involved in a pedophilia ring and that the Viking Hat QAnon shaman is the president of USA is normal to you and we should continue misinforming these poor lost souls. Great Ron, just great!

Who are you - the arbiter of objective truth?  Do you really feel that your countrymen are so stupid, that any significant number of them take seriously the idea that a cabal of lizard people [Rothschild family heirs] are involved in a pedophilia ring and control all but 2 or 4 or 6 central banks [depending on the meme you read]?

What I want is to live in a world where I can be exposed to this information.  If the information is so clearly false, as you seem to think it is, what seems to be the problem?

The only answer is that you think you are so much smarter than other people, and that there aren't millions of more like you who write all of that off, without thinking twice.

But seriously - it really goes to show how dumb you think the average person is, that you would be afraid of information of that type circulating.  And of course you know the real "truth", right?  And you get to decide what that truth is based on a series of social ostracization, shadow-banning online, and even outright legal censorship...right?

That's similar to the stance of every authoritarian leader in the 20th century, wouldn't you say?  But let me guess...mass censorship would work out if you were in charge...right?

Do you know what happened to Germany from 1918 to 1939?

Gimme a break!

Do you think it's acceptable to socially ostracize and ban every White goyim for merely QUESTIONING the official Jewish Hollywood narrative of the Holocaust?  Is that ok with you?

Whites are also blamed for every imaginable world failure, and not only is such speech allowed - it's openly condoned if not outright encouraged and spread through mass media, Hollywood movies, and even university courses in "White Studies".  In fact, three social scientists submitted excerpts from Hitler's book "Mein Kampf" to peer-reviewed university research journals, only changing the words "Jew" or "Jews" with "White male" or "White male"...

...and it got accepted into peer-review!!!

Is that acceptable in your mind?  We can blame White people for literally everything.  Do you have a problem with that?  If not, why is hatred of White people, White males in particular, acceptable to you in the mainstream, whereas any criticism of Jews is considered sacrosanct, if not outright illegal, punishable by imprisonment in an least 13 EU countries?

Double standards much?

You should ring him up and talk to him about it. It's really a great idea. He should jump on it while he still has an internet following. I am being serious.

Well you can blame Trump for it then, inciting the embarrassing attack on democracy.

So your saying if there was a Pedo who had a following on Twitter, who tweeted for pedophile rights and was removed, you would have a problem with that?
There is a line you can cross, and that’s a good thing

Great post, f450.  I have a crystal ball here with me...hmm...I'm sensing...I'm sensing a gulag Covid-19 Containment Safety Center in your near future.

I look at it this way:

If Big Tech has so much authority that they can consistently suppress and even outright censor the speech of the SITTING AMERICAN PRESIDENT...what does that mean for the rest of us?

We always talk about presidents just being figureheads, doing the bidding of the investment banks and other powers with deep pockets behind the scenes, but NEVER IN MY LIFE have we gotten to the point where the actual president has been consistently attacked to this extent.

On the flip side, Trump had a lot of opportunity to do something about this, and he didn't.  He probably thought he would be reelected, and that using the full force of his resources to lay down the law on Big Tech censors, and rioters/looters and other lawbreakers would make him look tyrannical, and make some people fear what he might do if elected for a second term.

To me, it seemed like his second election was a shoe-in anyway, so I figured he would just get all that done during his second term, since he would have nothing to lose at that point, anyway.

Hindsight being 20/20, I think by doing nothing about the rioters was a bad idea, because he lost his image as a Law & Order president as a result.  People have poor historical memories, so some probably voted for Joe Biden thinking that his presidency might put a stop to all of that...how, I don't know.  But as said, people have poor memories, and probably just wanted change, given how bad 2020 was.

Some people probably naively felt a new president would somehow handle Covid-19 better, as if human beings are masters of nature.

And, IMO, there are way too many convenient mathematical anomalies for me to think that voting fraud didn't play a part in this election.  Even if Biden would have won...the numbers don't make sense.  Biden getting more votes than Obama?  ???  LMAO...yeah, ok.

So, IMO:

[1] Trump should have clamped down on the riots.  That would have only helped him to get votes.  Because only the very fringe far-leftists want widescale riots.  Neither Democrats nor Republicans want that level of unrest.  I consider ending the riots to be nonpartisan.

[2] Tech censorship is a bit trickier.  As Democrats don't seem to acknowledge just how discriminatory Big Tech is towards conservative views.  And until they themselves start getting censored...I don't think they will care.  And had Trump tried to stop that...Democrats would have perceived that as being an authoritarian, anti-liberal move.

Again, hindsight is 20/20.  Lastly, I don't fault Trump, because I think he was confident he was going to win, given the huge turnouts he was getting at rallies, compared to Biden, whose "rallies" looked like a Ted Talk featuring a man giving a speech on living with dementia.

Had Trump had any doubt about being reelected, he probably would have done more about tech censorship while he held power.
