I'm just outside DC I could have been marching into the capitol this week if I wanted to.  I usually go into DC every weekend.

The American media is putting a leftist spin on this entire story. 

I see the story of this entire year very differently.

Inside "the beltway" referring to the freeway surrounding DC is very insular from the rest of this country.

Trump supports were looking for a non insider.  Someone who hasn't been swimming in the DC swamp for the last thirty years.

These are rural people who feel their voice isn't heard many time because the large city in their state calls the shots. 

This is a story of the lowly unheard citizens storming into a barricaded building with politicians who have spent thirty years plus in politics and don't care about the little people. 

My personal opinion is Congress should have been less tone def to the Trump supporters and should have invited twenty representatives in to speak their minds.

The bottom line is the Republicans rolled over on Trump but at the same time they rolled over on the seventy plus millions Americans who voted for him.  If anything, congress just poured gasoline on the Trump fire.

Don't confuse Trump supporters with Republicans.  Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Mitch Romney voted for Bidden.  Had the Republicans actually supported Trump, he would be president now.  Trump supporters view the entrenched Republican establishment as part of the problem.
