Regarding this bit...I've never seen a time in my life where alleged "Republicans" go out of their way to prevent a Republican from becoming president.

For years, I've heard that the system is controlled - that Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin, etc - but I've never seen anything quite like this.

My suspicion is that whoever "they" are have been having their agenda met, slowly but surely, but the trajectory was in place that, eventually, "they" would win.

With Brexit and Trump, the pushback began.  And now the mask has to come off, and those who operated using soft power up until now, have no choice but to show their hand.

I don't recall seeing any black folks in the videos taken during the action, although there must have been a few who supported overthrowing Democracy that showed up. First they said it was Antifa, when that didn't pan out it's BLM folks. Trump supporters should at least take credit for their subversive behavior, like other terrorist do. Remember this, Trump encouraged them by saying he'd join them in their march to the Capitol (he didn't follow through) and afterwards he told these folks he loved them. At least he admitted who they were and why they were there.

Reality is stolen election or not, Trump at this point has lost and Biden is the next president, Trump and the republicans need to use their time in opposition to divide the nation the same way democrats did. There should be no coming together and there should be opposition to anything and everything, losing the senate make its a hell of a lot harder. But the art of politics isn't  just about being in office its being in opposition. Continue to undermine the presidency and try to where it can be proved bring it down like the democrats did with him, Trump should have accepted his fate weeks ago and concentrated on trying to keep the republican majority in the senate, he showed poor judgement again and  pursued self interest and lost the republicans the senate. Thats why some of the traditional conservative base deserted him wrongfully especially in Georgia post election behaviour, and Pelosi first act is to introduce a bill outlawing the words father mother son and daughter etc as they are not inclusive and replacing them with parent, sibling, parents sibling etc. Absolute madness like thees a pandemic going on but lets talk about this rubbish.
