Your Money Problems Are Imaginary, the White House Claims. The Facts Say Otherwise.

Millions of Americans are struggling to afford necessities like food, rent, insurance, and a car payment. But if you’re one of them, don’t expect any understanding from the White House and its sycophants in the media. They say your financial pain is all in your head.

As an MSNBC host put it, Americans need “an economic explainer,” since “people are confused” about their financial situation. They’re actually “doing quite well,” she laughably asserted.

That will surprise the half of Americans who are struggling to make their rent or mortgage payments on time, especially the one-fifth of renters who are skipping meals to stay current, or the 65% of Americans who say their finances have deteriorated over the last year because of inflation.

Similarly, when President Joe Biden was told by an interviewer that food prices are up 30% in four years, he blithely dismissed it. American families, he claimed, “have more money to spend.”

But that’s simply not true, and the Biden administration’s own data prove it. The average American worker’s weekly paycheck has risen about 14% under Biden, which is less than the 20% general inflation rate and even less than the 30% inflation rate for food, which is what Biden was asked about.

But the falsehoods don’t stop there. Both the president and his lead economic adviser, Jared Bernstein, have fallaciously claimed in multiple interviews that inflation was 9% when Biden took office. Again, the administration’s own data disprove this talking point.

Inflation was only 1.4% at Biden’s inauguration. When confronted with this fact, Bernstein retorted with another lie: that inflation, excluding food and energy prices, was at 9% in the second quarter of 2021.

Again, the Biden administration’s own data disproves this. The inflation Berstein referenced, “core” inflation, was 3.7% at that time. Furthermore, Biden didn’t take office in the second quarter of 2021, but in the start of the first quarter. At that time, even the core inflation rate that Bernstein referenced was 1.4%—the same as the overall inflation rate.

Not to be dissuaded by the facts, Bernstein then pivoted to excusing the inflation rate entirely, claiming people are better off because their earnings are now rising faster than prices. Apparently, Bernstein is completely unfamiliar with any statistics produced by his colleagues. In April—the most recent data available—prices rose faster than the average weekly paycheck.

What that weekly paycheck can actually buy has fallen 4.4% since Biden took office, costing the typical American family thousands of dollars annually in lost purchasing power. Add in the additional borrowing costs from today’s higher interest rates, and that is thousands more in financial pain.

The combined effect has been the equivalent of reducing the typical American family’s annual income by $8,100.

But it seems no figures or statistics can change the mind of the political elites when it comes to inflation and how much Americans are hurting today. Never mind that the price of common foodstuffs like eggs, bread, and peanut butter has risen 35% under Biden—the pain is all in your head.

The Biden administration’s and its media lapdogs’ dismissive attitude to the financial plight of the American people adds insult to injury. Nothing is more elitist than telling working-class folks that their problems are imaginary.

American families have soured on Bidenomics not because of rhetoric, but because of reality. The spendthrift policies of this administration and its congressional allies have created a cost-of-living crisis, which is why millions of Americans are demanding a change in direction.

Much like the average weekly paycheck, you might say the president’s poll numbers have been adjusted down for inflation.

Biden Allies: Why Won’t Americans Stop Complaining About the Cost of Food: At some point, people will stop eating and learn to love Bidenomics.
Front Page Magazine ^ | June 11, 2024 | Daniel Greenfield

Bidenomics is great. For somebody. I’m not sure whom. But the media has spent months claiming that…

Bidenomics is fantastic

The only reason Americans don’t release it is because they’re morons obsessed with the price of food
After all the propaganda, the hectoring and the gaslighting, the media finally decides to admit that it’s hopeless because people are very stupid and keep insisting that they need to eat food instead of economic projections.

This Politico article is as close to despair as the media gets.

President Joe Biden is running out of the tools — and the time — he needs to turn around Americans’ gloomy view of the U.S. economy… Democrats are starting to outwardly despair that the economic tailwinds they once imagined lifting Biden to reelection aren’t materializing, at least not in the eyes of voters.

Americans are not paying attention to the fake job numbers the media keeps hyping and instead are greedy bastards who want to fill their growling stomachs with food. Why must they be so gloomy in this wonderland where absolutely anyone with their own lobbying firm on retainer can just start a green energy and make billions without ever making anything? Economic experts remain baffled at this senseless gloominess.

Inside Biden’s orbit, the fear is that there’s little new the administration can do to change the perceptions of a stubborn electorate that’s living through an upswing — yet simply refusing to believe it.

Stubborn and gloomy. Nothing will change their perceptions! At least nothing the media can do.

“If half of the people think that unemployment is at a 50-year high when it’s actually close to a 50-year low, this is a problem of misinformation, it’s a problem of perception,” said Ben Harris, a former senior Treasury Department official who helped craft Biden’s economic agenda. “I think, unfortunately,...”

I gave up eating except for eggs from Aldi.

It's a myth that you need to eat anything else.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. A lot breaks first on X and legacy media just re-reports what they want from it to fit their slant.

Please give me some examples of news that broke first on Twitter and now on X?

Good luck with deporting Democrats, especially me and I am a Democrat. My ancestors immigrated to America before the Revolutionary War and fought in it. I am at least a 10th generation American. It also means I part of a select group of U.S. citizens today who are eligible for membership in the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution), https://www.sar.org/step-1/#:~:text=Proving%20bloodline%20descent%2C%20whether%20legitimate,you%20in%20fulfilling%20this%20requirement.
It might interest you to know that the Democratic party precedes the Republican party by 26 years. However there have been two more Republican Presidents than those who were Democrats… so, that’s one for the Republicans.
It behooves you to do a little research every now and again on certain subjects, including looking up the meaning and definition of terms you use, such as deportation. "The Rights of a U.S. Citizen After Naturalization. You cannot be deported to your country of former citizenship or nationality. You will have just as much right as any other American to live and work in the United States. Even if you're charged with a crime in the future, you'll be able to stay in the United States."

I realize you are not being serious, because if you were, you would cease suggesting actions which are not possible.

You do realize that technically, everyone in this country is an immigrant even American Indians according to historians. The terms aliens, noncitizens, or foreign nationals might work to determine who goes and who stays in a mass deportation situation.

One of my ancestors came over on the next ship after the Mayflower.

Somebody had to do it.  :D

Are you saying you and I are related? I believe you are. But, more correctly two of the folks who lived in the Garden of Eden are our ancestors. This means our ancestors were technically incestuous since Eve was the product of Adam's rib. It is lucky we turned out as well as we did... assuming like me, you have an even set of ribs, two dozen to be exact. ;D

Some of my ancestors originally settled in Batavia, New York. Some eventually migrated to the Midwest, mainly southern Michigan, several in Albion and Parma, both are tiny towns even today. Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry is my 5th great uncle.  You can visit Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial which honors my uncle Perry and those who fought under his command during Battle of Lake Erie.

Secret Service destroyed video of Biden's dog Commander biting agent in brutal attack that forced White House to stop tours so blood could be wiped off the floor

The Secret Service destroyed a video that captured President Joe Biden's dog Commander chomping down on one of its agents - in an attack that forced the White House to shut down tours so blood could be wiped off the floor.

DailyMail.com filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Secret Service in March after a video was mentioned as part of an email that detailed a June 15, 2023 biting incident with the since-banished first dog.

The video purportedly showed Commander running at a high rate of speed and jumping toward the agent in the East Wing's Kennedy Garden, leaving a 'deep bite' on the individual's left arm 'that reportedly needed stitches,' the email said.

Someone had the good sense to move the dogs to live in Delaware to live with Family and friends. Three German Shepherds have lived in the White House. Champ who the Biden's acquired from a breeder in 2008 passed away at age 13 was the best-behaved dog of the three to have lived in the Whitehouse.  Major arrived at the White House in 2018, He was a rescue. Commander is the dog with the worst record of aggressive behavior to live in the Whitehouse. He no longer lives there. This breed is known to have strong protective instincts that can lead to territorial behavior and potential aggression if not properly trained. This breed would not be my first choice. However, other Presidents have had German Shepherds while living in the Whitehouse. Biden's dogs are also not the first Presidential dogs to have issues while living in the Whitehouse. Beginning with George Washington, most Presidents have had dogs as pets who lived with them in the Whitehouse. Only three Presidents, James K. Polk, Andrew Johnson, and Donald Trump did not have any presidential pets while in office.
