I remember her. After she won the Heavyweight class at the '92 Nationals, people were hailing her as the new standard for women's bodybuilding. She was to bring a softer, more feminine, package to the competitions.
This was also the year where Anja Schreiner was the featured girl on the 1992 Ms. Olympia poster, with small insets of the other women who were "also competing".......INCLUDING TWO-TIME and DEFENDING MS. OLYMPIA, LENDA MURRAY.
Bass was one of the few female bodybuilders that could still make a muscle magazine cover. Once she got her boob job, she got more fitness models shoots. Someone here posted her pics from Flex Magazine's "Power and Sizzle" spread from the early/mid 90s, where someone got the idea that making off-season female bodybuilders pose butt-@$$ naked would make them more appealing.
She was struggling with depression, how terrible. Condolences to her family and her friends.
