My apt lot where I live unplowed
:(read 16 or so inches, and still at 740 pm snow and wind steady...
So are they waiting for the storm to break? I'm not up on snow plow timing.
What I know is that we get a few inches of snow, often on top of ice and along some the city trucks with snow plows on the front, plowing snow and ice in a large mound in front of the driveway so that the there is no way you can get over it into the street and there is almost nothing short of spending hours and hours breaking your back trying to clear it so you can get out to go to the store.
It makes little difference, because I can't get out anyway. As soon as it snows, the city closes the street right in front of my house. Good thing they do too as many of the folks who ignore the blockade, end up crashed into the hillside or into other idiot's vehicles who couldn't just stay home for a day or so. Then there is a parade of these these folks who come trudging back up the hill on foot, slipping and falling. There is an excellent view of this comedy out my living room windows.
The next day or so when the folks venture back to their cars and trucks they see the added bonus of a citation for disobeying the closure on their windshield. Really folks, was it worth it?
