Also, with Trump out of office, there’s one less reason to overdramatize Covid.  I suspect almost everybody wants to get this behind us, but there’s still some more “Stimulus” that needs to be injected.

Here in NM the Queen has been really quiet about Covid lately. Since Biden took office she is back to patting herself on the back about how well the state has ran the past few years. Already talking about raising taxes for new programs for kids and underprivileged people.

We have a very rich history of movies here due to the landscape and historical background. Lot's of upcoming films too. The sunsets here are world class.

I've only lived here for a little over a year, but i've been traveling here my entire life because of family. My parents have been here a long time.

There is a huge UFC following in Albuquerque, i believe that's where Carlos trained. Many people come there to train, but it's a shitty place to live. It's the only place in NM that people stay away from. But it has the most jobs, so it's still growing. Overall it's hard to find a good job here.

Never heard of Tara, but there are a lot of missing persons here because a lot of people pass through and it's a small state. I read a short bio about her just now, that's wild but not surprising. A lot of people move out here to get away for one reason or another.

It's gorgeous here, it's like combining Colorado, Arizona and Utah into one state. Most people have no idea how amazing this place is for the outdoors. I can go snow skiing, fly fishing and mountain biking all in one day.

I spend most of my time in the mountains, but there are some nice areas down south too.

A couple take a ways from this thread. Some of you guys have got to start treating your mothers with respect.

 Another is since Biden got in Democrats are giving glowing stats on how covid isn't the problem it was. This confirms that the shut downs were politically motivated to destroy the great economy and to change voting. You can wait in line to buy food but not to vote. Now all of a sudden Democrats are in a rush to open. In the most draconian shut down states they are easing restrictions.

That's amazing! I just remembered that Breaking Bad was filmed in New Mexico too.  Someone told me that the show made the number of people smoking crystal meth go up, but I remember it being well-made. Both set and filmed in New Mexico...I think NM has good tax incentives for movie productions or something like that.

Too bad about Albuquerque. I did not know that.

Speaking of that...I sometimes have a hard time putting a state's size into perspective because so many Canadian provinces are empty...but I just noticed that Tara Calico's county in NM [Valencia] is almost exactly the same size as Thunder Bay. I heard it is a amazing.

Have you ever been to Valencia? Or alternate question...from the way you describe it, all of New Mexico sounds like on giant Valencia.  Vast and scenic. Is that about right?

I wish there had been some bodybuilding expos in NM...I would have visited. And too bad about Tara Calico...over 30 years later, and she was almost for sure murdered on the day she disappeared.  I remember being spooked by her 1989 Unsolved Mysteries episode, but recalling how beautiful New Mexico was.

Shirts and shoes are still required, but you don’t need masks to enter one Florida restaurant. Or “face diapers,” as the restaurant calls them.

BeckyJack’s Food Shack in Spring Hill, Fla., shared a Facebook post Sunday that reminded potential patrons that the only things they need to bring are an appetite and a wallet. And if they decide to bring a smile, by golly, people would actually see it.

“Howdy Folks! Happy Valentine’s Day A friendly reminder that we DO NOT require Face Masks,” the post read.

BeckyJack’s also posted a sign in its window that garnered some attention. “Face diapers not required!” it read. “Everyone welcome.”

Of course, since the establishment is located in Florida, it faces zero penalties — as Gov. Ron DeSantis has not implemented statewide mandates and is even blocking municipalities from enforcing their own mandates with fines.

“We’re getting a ton of feedback, both positive and negative,” said Jesse Fox, the restaurant’s owner, in an interview with a local news station. “I don’t feel like I am going against the grain. I feel like I’m using common sense.”
