Between 5' 9" - 5' 11 is average in almost all developed countries. Some of the Nordic and Slavic countries are a pinch taller, and the developed Asia countries (e.g. Japan 5' 7") are a pinch smaller.
That being said, I'd say a legit 5' 10" - 6' is more along the lines of good average. That's where you stop getting "kinda" added to discriptions.
Agreed. I'm 5'8.6" at night, which is the height I tell people I am. I am about 5'9.3" first thing in the morning. A wear a shoe with a bit of heal [but not really], and with big hair and good posture, people probably think I'm 5'9.5". I actually always wanted to be 5'10". I think the "10" just makes 5''10" sound a lot taller than 5'9".
That being said, my experience is that women don't care as long as you aren't shorter than they are. Even then, two of the women I attempted to knock up [one successfully] were 5'11". So I don't think women give a shit, as long as you have something else going for you.
Also, women who are over 5'8" or 5'9" are above the average male height. So that forces them to settle somewhat. I mean...will a 6'0" woman say no to a guy who is 5'10"? At six feet, she's taller than, what, 80% of men? How many men are 6'0"+? Must be under 30%. So will a woman that tall turn down almost the entire dating pool? IMO, no.
