Football player thought he was all that and a bag of chips and got destroyed

I've never underestimated anyone in my life prior to a fight about to begin. Fear is always good to have, it keeps you sharp and helps you better evaluate the situation at hand. Also, helps not be drunk in a situation like that because a lot of time you don't see the punch coming with your senses dulled. I used to see situations like this happen all the time at local bars while at college. It would usually involve some college jock athlete who can't stop running their mouth. Next thing they know, they're on the ground bleeding.

The fact that this kid wore a fu man chu mustache as a college player definitely means he's a jerkoff douche.

Exactly.

I saw these type of guys get their asses kicked all the time in college.

One of my friends growing up was like 5'6" and 150 pounds, but had been taking kick boxing and wrestling since he was 5 years old. Was always a good time when someone started shit with him, because he was always down for a scrap.

This is a perfect example of why you don't start shit with people you don't know.

I grew up with a friend who was just like that. 6'2" and barely 150 pounds soaking wet. But he was always down to scrap if someone challenged him. Just had zero fear. He would crank up Pantera in his car on his way to a fight with someone. He could really throw hands and once he was on top of you, it was an elbow and forearm parade to the head and then you were out.

leverage, technique and street fighting experience go a long way when it comes to subduing a larger opponent. Precision beats power and timing beats speed. The toughest guys I always saw fight were usually guys built like Abe Lincoln. Tall with a long reach and scrappy as hell. Would fight until they were burger. Not a lot of muscle and size but they didn't gas quickly like most meat heads do.

this one time a guy pulled his truck into a 711 lot and spun his tires, I got hit with rocks. I went over and pulled the tough guy act with him. I woke up 3 minutes after he hit me, picked my face up off the ground and went home. I can go, but that time, wow, I got put into orbit

At least you had good reason to pull him and were well within your right to do so for what he done.

One of the best instances I seen of picking on the wrong person we were standing in a group at one of the locals early evening and a lad who was known for being an absolute tit was there alone as usual as nobody could stand him he was dancing around the room like a cock purposefully knocking people to try and start shit and he picked the shortest lad in our group and not content with smashing into him he went right up to him pressing his head against his, little James proceeded to smash him from one end of the room and back. The lads cousin who didn’t really like him but took pity on him took him outside, we left for next bar not long after and he was crying while getting helped Into and ambulance bleeding from the head it was a hilarious sight

Sounds like my buddy. He had zero fear, which means a lot in a fight.

Kind of sad, but his dad committed suicide when my friend was young. On father's day my friend would drive around trying to start fights with people just to take out some aggression.

These are the people you don't want to fight; he wanted to truly hurt people.

Street fighting is a different animal, i've seen some guys get their asses kicked who looked like real winners. You can't discount a guy who can get off 3 punches before the other guy knows what happened. It's over so quickly. No ref, no gloves, most of the time alcohol is involved.

I'm old now and don't do the bar scene anymore, but one thing I noticed in my early 30''s as MMA was growing, was that there way less fights in clubs/bars suddenly.  All of the sudden you didn't know who you were fucking with just by sizing someone up.  Glad to see someone go taught a lesson by not realizing this. 8)

No shame in that man. Anyone who says they have “never lost” or “Man,I won’t EVER been knocked on my ass” - hasn’t been in very many street scraps. I don’t say it with “glory” but I’ve been in dozens - hell maybe a hundred. Been KO’d more than is probably healthy. But I’ve also given the KO. Broke every finger on one hand and all but thumb on the other. Wrist too - from punching like a moron.

Fighting is GOOD for young men. I’d even say it’s impossible to fully mature as a man without. Not so much at my age although I do think taking aggression out by training - intense cardio - definitely grappling.
It keeps the mind and heart humble and also builds confidence. Some of my very best friends are guys I’ve fought and most of my friends and I have had to at one time or another.

Fighting so that you can feel like or think you look like a badass - stupid.

right on. Win or lose I loved a good tilt.
Those days are long gone, everyone just hammers 911 on their phone now when someone even sneezes at them wrong.
Or they come with 5 on 1.
Society is disgraceful and soft

Best to stay sober when in bars or avoid them altogether.

And don't be an a**hole.

Great video....I live in the Gray's Ferry section of south philly, it's a VERY rough nieghborhood.   Bar fights are very rare there, most guys are on there best behavior no matter how drunk they are, because if you bump into the wrong person or talk too much shit there's a very real chance you could get shot. When I go into suburban bars I'm always surprised by how rude people are, I guess because they're no repercussions...
