This guy, supposedly, just had his mother pass unexpectedly and now he’s making jokes about someone else’s mother?
It's a club thing.

If you really want to be blown away by how they rig the numbers to keep the game going - supposedly stimulus is counted as GDP....

Great isn’t it lol.

US borrows 30B which shows as a asset and liability. You then hand it out as cheques which once spent are classed as an asset without liability  :D

Better than that is when you sell bonds to raise debt but buy a chunk of them yourself in order to keep interest rates down.

Dems has NOTHING to do with Dr. Suess or Mr. Potato head.  Those were choices by those individual companies and by the way what adult gives a flying fuck about either one of those things

BTW - enjoy your stimulus check dipshit.   That's one thing you can ONLY thank the Dems for.

Carry on being a complete fucking moron

who gives a flying fuck about those things?  the people that vote just like you, don't act like you are somehow above that

trump wanted to give a $2000 stimulus check but nancy said no, she didn't want his name on another check before the election

also where is the $600 a week nancy demanded for the unemployed through the end of 2020?  her people now have full control yet it's $300 a week, the same amount the republicans were willing to give until the end of 2020, instead the unemployed got nothing from sept - december because nancy said 300 wasn't enough

could it be nancy was demanding 600 a week because she knew it would be refused, so she could then tell voters "republicans don't care about you" ::)

January 21 alone over a million doses were administered....good night

Do I understand you correctly? It seems you are saying that the day after President Biden was sworn in, 1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered. Right on.  :)

According to the CDC, over 92 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through March 8, 2021. This a little over 1 million doses a day (1.2 million per day to be exact.

Today one of my contractors told me he received a 30k "forgivable covid loan" based on his taxes filed for 2019. The bank he goes to is getting most small businesses 20-30k this month and the only stipulation is that it be used for payroll. He's a sole proprietor, no payroll to others so he just pays himself. This is nuts.

The scale of inflation coming is going to be massive. They are almost doubling the money supply in 2 years.

As I have said before - your stock will be at all time highs....in dollars...but a loaf of bread will be $16.

People can’t be outraged when money is given to banks and then also be outraged when money is given to us plebs. If you are then you are wanting a complete and total collapse including the decimation of yourself and family.

The QE got stuck in the financial sector and they decided to make only themselves more wealthy. There was no trickle down economic effect. To create productivity you need to give funds to consumers who drive demand and in turn drive productivity. Hence they are handing out funds to the plebs because QE didn’t work.

If they continue to do QE without giving enough to the plebs the wealth gap expands and you end up with society fracturing.

Are you inferring that this is sound practice and will work? You can't create actual productivity by printing money. It's an economic fantasy put in place by those that benefit most. As for fracturing that is going on regardless, just getting started.

Never said it was sound practice but yes, monetising debt is a way of cleaning house especially if done in agreement across to globe as to avoid a change in terms of trade. The bigger the debt that needs to be wiped out, the more inflationary carnage they will cause. The alternate is prices and wages go backwards while debt is fixed and ultimately you default and lose everything.

The confusion is actually due to no wage inflation. People see prices flying up and say it’s inflation but it actually isn’t that at all, it’s that your wages didn’t budge. The Debt used to send prices upwards is a liability and it is deflationary...... remember, right now we are fighting deflation, not inflation. All these high property values are caused by debt and debt is deflationary.

If they stopped accumulating debt and stopped printing, the system unwinds and prices deflate. This would cause your wages go down, unemployment to fly up, productivity to drop meanwhile your debt remains fixed and becomes more expensive to service and you default.

You are in the Bitcoin thread dude. Why do you think the world’s richest people suddenly decided Bitcoin was ok? It’s because they are trying to escape deflation today and front run the inflation out the other side.

The only option left is to print. It’s better it goes to consumers than to bankers. Given how far fucked we are now most likely we will experience 12mths of Hyperinflation in a short while. I wouldn’t be surprised to wake up one morning and all prices have added a zero, wages added a zero, debt remains as it was. That is a possibility, a one off large currency devaluation.

sure but it doesn't net any on the + balance for US.

it doesn't create companies and inovation etc that will export for net gain for the US. Trading goods and services within US citizens doesn't do anything for US economy as a nation. Still putting US in further debt to China.

So, no one is buying American products?  Americans are working moving the goods and services through UPS, Fedex, etc?  There aren't any American businesses benefiting?  Every time one of these checks goes out I get more business.

You are both correct.  It will please consumers and benefit retailers.  However, it won't do shit for the backbone of the economy which is small businesses.  Many small businesses haven't even reopened yet, so how will they benefit from the stimulus?  When they finally do reopen, they will be staring at a massive back debt in rent and other expenses.  How can they pay that when the stimulus window has passed them by?

someone is going to have to pay for all of this money that was given away.

The US govt has passed a ginormous $5.3T worth of stimulus during the pandemic — that's $43K per household. And that $$$ isn't coming out of taxes. It's adding to the $28T national debt, which is now larger than the entire US economy.
