That's why no one was able to build great biceps so far, that's the stuff the world has been waiting for. ::)

Waiting for Basile to comment.

Something this simple CANNOT be effective, especially when compared to his supination machine.

Is that a "Supertraining" product? A notched or drilled 2 x 4 scap will do the same thing if you wanted to try the goofy idea.

Also Bell just patented a known idea in the "Slingshot". Guys were using torn shirts for the same purpose years ago, and a guy named Chris Taylor was making his own device "bench strap" for his friends years before the "Slingshot" -

.

Don’t get mad Bell is making money off the Slingshot. Shame on Chris Taylor for not taking advantage of his idea.

If he didn't have his junkie brother's bones to pick and this guy's idea, he'd be just another gym owner. Simmons, his mentor is an honest guy. He could've taken the idea of chains, bands, etc.... and made a fortune, but he always gave credit. You want to be an opportunist, fine. But don't wail on about being a great invertor, for finding a years old idea.

 Hang on to your britches...

My good friend and occasional training partner Pete Sarna invented, designed, created and manufactured the Original Bicep Board (that's the actual name).

I have a very early prototype.  Used it many times as did my training partners.

Give it a try.  If you like it- beautiful.  If you don't like it- that's cool too.

If anyone here actually wants one and will really give it a try... Shoot me a PM. I'll take care of it.

Jeff over at AthleanX advocates doing these curls.  He calls them in one video "elevator curls" .

The strain on the inner wrist can put people off though.

Curling driftwood locks in the biceps origin thereby building the biceps from the top down, enabling Matterhorn-shaped development beyond what you thought your genetics sanctioned.

Does the board provide optimum supination throughout its range of movement?

Actually the concept is valid. I use to do it just holding the plates on a dumbbell. Not the best when the getting fatigued. I can see the wider grip having a function.  Having said that you could just use drag curls. It accomplishes keeping your elbows down and back hitting the biceps hard.

Fair point.

I had wrongly assumed Bell invented the idea of the slingshot after a pec injury. I remember guys used to tightly wrap their fully extended elbows in Ace bandages and it provided a similar boost to your press, like the sling shot does.  I thought the sling shot was the next evolution of this.

All complete bull shit you get the peak or you don’t through genetics. Guys who have great bicep peaks you’ll notice Their bicep attaches higher on the arm closer to the shoulder. Most guys when flexing a bicep pose will be able to take the other hand and fit 1 or 2 fingers between where the bicep starts and t the opposite side of the elbow where the arm makes the right angle. Guys with great peaks you’ll be able to fit 3 or 4 fingers in that same space Ronnie and Arnold included.

I give credit to all those who innovate and come up with new ideas for apparatus and equipment. You might be amazed at how many ingenious but silly pieces of apparatus have been granted patents. Those of us with many years in the gym will instantly recognize when something is going to be effective or not. That biceps board is just a gimmick and a lame one at that. It ignores the part of the biceps that does supination. That is why dumbbells are superior to barbells for biceps.

I have 5 biceps machines that I have built. For a couple of months I used one that was strictly flexion of the biceps. When I resumed using my biceps supinator I was amazed at how weak my biceps were in the supination movement. It took a couple of weeks to regain some of the lost supination strength. I won't make that mistake again.

Vince what do you have for triceps?

If you have not invented a machine maybe some exercise recommendations?

This is the machine I modified for triceps. Very effective. I still have to design and build a more effective triceps machine.

fuck me you have wasted a great part of your life fucking about with these machines

the muscle pulls in a staright line from its points of origin, simply stress the muscle through a range of motion and it will respond, it has no idea if its a rope , a bar or a machine thats putting the stress on it.
