Hagler was a fighters fighter unlike many of the modern guys, who's opponents are staged managed. He fought anyone and everyone, Hagler Hearns was a classic as was hagler leonard, he will always be known for fighting at boxings prime. RIP.

I was in a bar for that Hagler Hearns fight. By the end of the first round everybody’s jaw had collectively dropped. One of the most exciting athletic events I’ve ever seen.

11 years undefeated and I still think he clearly won against Sugar Ray.  Marvin was the aggressor and Sugar did his taps and running. I wonder how he died? No cause of death was given. His fight against Hearns is arguably the most brutal and action filled fight of the modern age. Every punch was thrown with bad intent by both.

I saw Hagler-Hearns at the Norfolk Scope on closed-circuit.  8:01 of dynamite.

Per TMZ Sports, one of Hagler's son's said that he had chest pain and trouble breathing before going to the hospital.

“The only difference between street fighting and boxing is there a ref there from stopping me from killing you.”

I was 5 or 6 when I saw his 1st flight with Antifermo. Was sold then. I was devastated when he lost to Sugar Ray. I was young and biased and thought he won. In hindsight, he may have given up too many early rounds. One of my 4 favorite fighters of all time. Gone too soon. RIP Champ. WAR Hagler!

I re-watched that first bout with Antuofermo a couple years ago and noticed that Hagler was a bit gassed in the last few rounds.  He was still developing into the great boxer he became.

Tommy Hearns posted it on Instagram. He posted it early, but doesn't seem to be backing down from it.

It's a known fact SRL fought in flurries for the last 30-45 secs to steal rounds.
