The Racist Misogyny Of The Atlanta Spa Shootings

Let’s face facts: The fetishization of Asian women is, in itself, racist.

It’s high time the words “racist misogyny” entered the conversation about the Atlanta spa shootings.

On Tuesday evening, police say, 21-year-old Robert Aaron Long walked into three different massage parlors in the Atlanta area and fatally shot a total of eight people, including six women of Asian descent.

“I don’t care that the shooter told police his attack wasn’t ‘racially-motivated,’” tweeted feminist author Jessica Valenti. “The fetishization of Asian women is racist. Believing women are responsible & to blame for your sexual ‘temptations’ is misogynist. This was a racist misogynist crime.”

The way the media needs this to be a white supremacist crime is pathetic. The way the Police said "he had a bad day" can be interpreted in whatever way you wish, sure, but the media sees this as a sign of white supremacy of the Police. I didn't interpret it that way, all they did was explain the perps explanation. Also that he was apprehended alive and unscathed is seen as a sign of white supremacy. Absolutely pathetic, maybe he didn't fight the cops? All this shows is how hungry certain groups are for signs of "white supremacy"... it's manufactured "white supremacy", all this does is increase tension in society. But this is what they want.

This Asian massage parlor shooting makes no sense. Why would someone with sex addiction go shoot up a place where he can get relief? He says the women tempted him but this is impossible as YOU HAVE TO GO THERE to meet them. These are not street walkers or even porn stars.

? I haven't seen anything that specifically says he liked Asians, just that he's super religious, and felt he had to rid himself of temptation. That doesn't scream anti-Asian to me, rather just picking out the easiest targets for his vendetta.
