So why is it some people are treated so poorly by the press while others seem untouchable? Do you really think it all just mainstream media? How about the possibility that when someone is arrogant, an egomaniac, bully and braggart, many people look for them to fail. A little humility, empathy and honesty goes a long way.

Of course his personality contributed to it - but he was correct on many things, and politicians and the media didn't like getting called on it.
The problem is now, Biden is acting on on everything anti-Trump, which is operating on the fallacy that every single thing Trump did was wrong. This behavior may work during a campaign and election cycle, but it will be detrimental to the country in practice.
The border is the easiest example, and there will be more.
And, outside of all that, he promised to be the President of unity. He's done absolutley zero in that regard so far.
