Exactly. These old farts with their nostalgia good old days yearnings. Name one thing that is not better. I can just look around my house and see just how much better and cheaper (adjusted for inflation) things are. My refrigerator, TV, car. washer/dryer, computer, stationary bike. I would literally not be able to train properly without the advances in equipment today. There are just some movements I can no longer do using just free weights. I just have an average midrange automobile but the shit it has. The gas mileage it  gets. The amenities. How they are able to get much more horsepower out of a smaller more fuel efficient engine with fuel injectors and turbos. The safety features with camera and sensors where you have to be a complete idiot to ding your car in a parking garage. My tankless water heater never runs out of hot water no matter how many people are visiting and taking a shower one after another while I have the washer going set on hot.

I have a friend who says that he's going to live off the grid in a few years. Just build a cabin and live off the land. Hunt, fish, grow his own vegetables. So f-ing clueless. Just wait until he realized that clean running water doesn't just come out of nowhere and when winter and the snow hits he's done.

For sure technology and medicine is definitely going to be better, can argue that. Culture/movies, “way of life” debatable, especially for older folks but I’d say I love the music and movies back then better, culture too.
