"As a boy Liddy decided it was critical to face his fears and overcome them. At age 11, he roasted a rat and ate it to overcome his fear of rats. “From now on, rats could fear me as they feared cats,” he wrote."

Liddy botching the job was one of the best things that could have happened for the US. People had to face the stark truth that seats of power are occupied by opportunistic liars and criminals.

Watergate put the brakes on naive acceptance of government authority for nearly three decades until fear and loathing passed The Patriot Act. Interestingly, it was the Dems and the ACLU back then arguing against a "We know what's good for you" government.

A hatter might argue that Liddy's egregious incompetence was so unlikely that he actually intended to get caught in order to cause a scandal which would protect the country from the government.

Read his autobiography WILL.  Lots of cool stories like that.

Was a frequent guest on the Stern show many many years ago.  Seemed like an interesting character to say the least.

He inspired the GI Joe character 'Lowlight's bio:

Liddy was convicted in 1973 and sentenced to 20 years in jail for conspiracy, burglary and illegally wiretapping the Democratic Party's headquarters at the Watergate office complex.

See, this is where punctuation matters.

As you wrote that, without the appropriate apostrophe, it reads that you want him to suck you off until your penis comes off.

GREAT GUY!!

Yet Obama, Biden, Holder, Yates, and others from his administration along with the Clintons walk freely and/or are a part of the current administration "running" the country.  Pretty sure we've regressed on holding people in high places accountable by a ton.

BTW, can a person really be considered a "Mastermind" if they get caught, and convicted? ???

He wasn't a billionaire.  Probably lived month to month doing radio and podcast stuff.

Would they have let him keep his government pension?  I wonder...
