Yes, a stunt double does all of his fight scenes and it's been that way for at least 20 years.  It is pretty obvious because the double looks to be 100 pounds lighter.

Because its basic psychology , if someone threatens your life then your only option if you know they are serious is to act first.

If you tell me you are gonna` kill me,I go into attack mode immediately cuz I have no clue if you are serious or not.
