Funny, I don’t hear anyone from the left calling the destruction of Federal buildings and setting fire to them with people still in it an “insurrection”
It is because by definition these acts are different from each other.
The difference between insurrection and riot is that insurrection is an
organized opposition to an authority; a mutiny; a rebellion while riot is wanton or unrestrained behavior; uproar; tumult.
Mutiny is a revolt among a group of people to oppose, change, or
overthrow an organization.
A rebellion is an act of violent or open
resistance to an established government or ruler.
