He actually looks kind of depressed these days as the realisation is beginning to dawn on him him that the first half of his life was directed at bodybuilding but now he's confused on where to go in the next half. Seriously, how many times does he have to go out and tell the same story about his rise to bodybuilding stardom? How many times does he have to explain his style of training? How many times does he have to keep the "myth" of his legacy to keep try and keep relevant? Why doesn't he get qualified at something else and really move on. Others have. Look at Platz. Once bodybuilding was over for him he went into the corporate world for many years. Franco became a chiropractor. Jeff King went on to chiropractic school and pursued that career until 2005 then he finished his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in Massachusetts and he also graduated from the police academy. Arnold we know about.
Yates just seems to be very stuck in a rut living on past glories. Kinda of sad.
He was a disadvantaged young buck…
He was running on da track and a teacha said, “yo, it’s time to pack it in,”… but he kept runnin… which showed he had dat fire…
Then he did dumb shit and went to da clink and started hittin’ da weights…
Then he became a top notch bodybuilder…
He didn’t go to Venice beach, a hotbed of vices and hoes…
He stayed in da dungeon in England, liftin’, power eatin’, avoiding all da American clowns…
Then he kicked everyone’s ass for seven years.
Whenever he did too many sets, he got tired.
So he met Mentzer one day, and reduced his sets.
He once gained like 30 pounds in a year from “better dieting”.
After BB, he went clubbin’ and started slaying’ hoes…
Den he calmed down, settled down with some South American gym broad, hoppin’ all over da globe and taking whacked out stuff, doin’ Eastern philosophy, yoga, biking…
Now he’s doing da podcast circuit.
See, I memorized it.
I still like him though. 😀
