Actually, I was not aware of this issue in the Jewish community....but then, I am not Jewish. Honestly, I don't think it has been covered as much in the media as the abuse related to the Catholic Church. Under-reporting sexual abuse is a big problem that is rearing its ugly head everywhere you look these days....which is both good and bad. Good, because people are taking action against it and bad because it is so prevalent. 

For quite awhile now, Catlin Gabel an exclusive private school in Portland, founded in 1957 has been in the news because of child sexual abuse by some staff over many years....a lot of the cases are well past the statute of limitations.
