Today Governor Brown announced that when Oregon reached 70% vaccinated, fully and partially combined, masked will no longer be required under most circumstances. Also, capacity and social distancing restrictions will no longer be necessary. It is anticipated this will happen later this month around June 20 or even sooner.
This should end most of the confusion about how to enforce mask requirements. There will still be some situations where masks will be required, mainly medical facilities.
Shouldn't be long and we will be back to normal. The inconvenience the pandemic caused over the past year and a half will quickly become a distant but unpleasant memory.
Several business are already returning employees to the workplace, including those in downtown Portland. No doubt there will be some people who've gotten used to working from home and will resist having once again to go into the office to work.
Hopefully, states like North Dakota, which is still struggling with high rates of infection, hospitalizations and deaths will be able to get their act together too so they can open up again.
What will Getbig folks find to argue over once there is nothing to say about COVID except remember when? Not too worry, there will be something we can all disagree on.
