Poland (and Hungary) were about to get a severe telling off from the EU pre pandemic for going against the EU. Will be interesting to see how that plays out now. Plenty of Poles do want to leave EU rule.

nothing stopping them leaving the EU  except their own desire to keep the €7billion they get from the EU every year  (that's about €200Million a week from the UK when it was a a member)

Also the sizeable remittance Polish workers abroad send back home to pump into their economy would dry up. Imported good would face more red tape and be more expensive. Wealthier and the better educated Poles would probably leave too and take up residence in places like Germany and France for better career prospects.
