The irony.

Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday.

An ardent opponent of mask and vaccine mandates, Mr. Abbott, a Republican, has taken his opposition to such requirements all the way to the state Supreme Court. Mr. Abbott, who is fully vaccinated, will now be isolated in the Governor’s Mansion while receiving monoclonal antibody treatment, which can help Covid-19 patients who are at risk of getting very sick.

What is the irony?

What is the irony?

He's been referred to as an anti-vaxxer. If that is true, it is ironic that he's been fully vaccinated and wears a mask. Maybe he's just anti-mandates. On July 30, 2021 the daily average of cases in Texas was 8,820, a 209 percent increase over the previous 14 days.

Even if there's only a small possibility that vaccines and masks reduce the spread of COVID, the least someone in a leadership position, such as he is, should do is recommend vaccinations and wearing masks.

Ehh, I think he is more a freedom of choice type guy. I’m not opposed to the vaccine, but won’t shit on anyone who gets it, or anyone who doesn’t. Their body, their choice.

He may be a freedom of choice guy but he's also full of shit.  As the leader of the state of Texas, he should be open about his personal choices.  Obviously, he believes in the vaccines but for some reason plays harder to the anti vax, anti mask crowd.

I'm militantly anti-vax and strongly anti-mask, and I don't see the irony or hypocrisy when anyone catches COVID-19 or "tests positive." It's expected that we are all exposed to this at one point or the other, the sooner the better so we can get over it and forget about it. People have this idea that if everyone wears the mask and takes the leaky mRNA vaccine the virus will just magically go away. The cucks in Australia and New Zealand think that if they lock down hard enough it will go away, and they are living under what seem to be permanent prison conditions because of this delusion and the fact that no matter what they do, the virus never goes away. The virus has not magically gone away anywhere on earth no matter how draconian the government is in trying to contain it. Perhaps it's because these governments don't really understand how foolish their efforts are because they don't have the slightest clue about how viruses work, assuming that they aren't lying about the purpose of their efforts in the first place.

You call someone like myself a "freedom of choice" type guy. I consider myself someone who is still just thinking straight and hasn't had his brain cooked by endless propaganda from the information war. I can go without access to the media or the internet and make sane observations about the world I see around me. I don't need someone on TV to tell me whether it's raining when I can just look out the window. When it comes to viruses and infectious disease, sane people not subject to the endless propaganda to which people are subject today accepted these things as acts of God. Unfortunate events that we as a species must endure and persevere as we get through them. People die. Sometimes more people die than usual. It is what it is. Never did we think that not dying or maximizing the lifespan of every person on earth was our purpose here on earth. It wasn't until Bill Gates and his globalist friends came along with their plan for how we as humans under their leadership would get through the next pandemic by forfeiting our rights and putting into our bodies whatever they want us to put into our bodies that people ever had the notion that a pandemic is something for which everyone needs to give up everything and obey their new masters.

Anyway, recognizing that people have the right to live their lives and to choose what goes into their bodies just means that a leader isn't barreling as fast as he can into a totalitarian nightmare the likes of which we see too often throughout history and around the world. When something bad happens to such a person it simply means that he or she is a human being living on earth.

You are stupid, and don't understand what liberty meaning. Arnold is fucking damn right.

At this stage, considering people like you and to stop the damage of the economy, all countries
should let spread the virus and let die people at home or on the street.

Interesting I have had expose. 2 of my sisters and my mother had expose to a positive  7 yr old kid sneezing covid all over the place for about 4 days.  No one developed illness  I believe I'm the only one with minor lung inflammation.

Like I said, those bishes have clinical datum. They can do blood draws, and determine who will develop a covid cloud like that family.

There is definitely a genetic predisposition here between that family and mine, for example, but fucboi will continue to push the income generator vs old brand lab testes.

good thing polio isn't around any more half the country would have it.
Stop being a moron.  There is no comparison between polio and covid.  Polio's death rate is 1000X higher for children. Also, polio has no animal reservoir, while covid does.  Covid isn't going away like polio did because of vaccination.

Or not get over it and instead die from it like 4.3 million people have done so far.

Then there's the possibility of long term side effects from COVID.

Older people and people with many serious medical conditions are the most likely to experience lingering COVID-19 symptoms, but even young, otherwise healthy people can feel unwell for weeks to months after infection. Common signs and symptoms that linger over time include:

Fatigue
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Cough
Joint pain
Chest pain
Memory, concentration or sleep problems
Muscle pain or headache
Fast or pounding heartbeat
Loss of smell or taste
Depression or anxiety
Fever
Dizziness when you stand
Worsened symptoms after physical or mental activities

Do you not understand what I said? We are all going to be exposed to this virus no matter what. You catch it and get over it like 99.9% of the people who get it, or you catch it and die. Those are the options. There is no option where we magically make it go away without everyone being exposed. It will never go away. We can either get through it as quickly and painlessly as possible, or we can drag it out and make it a multi-decade affair where we destroy the industrialized world and enslave the world population. It will never go away otherwise. By expending so much effort and making so many sacrifices to try to make it go away you are taking the latter course.

Do you not understand that you may be wrong?

So in essence what you are saying is do nothing. Everyone should go about their lives as they would in absence of the virus. Let the virus thrive and mutate indefinitely because that's what it will do anyway. That the COVID Delta mutation is filling hospitals with patients, many of whom are younger than during earlier phases of the pandemic is of no concern.

Herd immunity is not achieved without an effective vaccine in most cases. For COVID-19, the percentage of the population that needs to be infected to achieve herd immunity is estimated to be between 70% and 90%, and this is assuming lasting immunity is possible. It's looking like either getting COVID or being vaccinated for it may not result in lasting immunity. So like you said it is never going away....well, not until everyone is dead. At the rate this virus mutates, that could happen a lot sooner than some imagine.

Here is a current list of diseases vaccines prevent. Some of these will make you sick and you'll get better, others can kill you.

Chickenpox (Varicella)
Diphtheria
Flu (Influenza)
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Hib
HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
Measles
Meningococcal
Mumps
Pneumococcal
Polio
Rotavirus
Rubella
Tetanus
Whooping Cough (Pertussis)

It is about choice and the right to choose that which you think is best for you and yours.  Odd that cucks will squeal that it is a woman's right  to take the life of the child within her and yet...And yet.

It is the State's right to inoculate the Constitution out of you.   Eyes and they cannot see.  Ears and they cannot hear.  Rights and they gladly relinguish them.

Men shake such dust from their feet.  Cucks breathe it in as if it were their souls, freeze-dried by their new masters.

Yep- that's about right. Oh, and take ivermectin if you have a bad case. It works. You can spend all night using duckduckgo and find the reams of data that show it does. It costs pennies in relation to these mrna gene therapies and actually does work without inducing micro blood clots.

I've had Covid. It wasn't bad. A bit like a seasonal flu. I've had way worse. In fact the most terrible viral infection I've ever had hands down was a nasty case of bronchitis. Lasted weeks, no cure, and I lost 10 pounds from it. But my immune system did its job. funny how that works.

Wrong. Not only has he been pushing the vaccines, you may recall the media types tried to call him "racist", claiming he was only making the vaccines available to old white people.

And, he was also leading the fight to get folks vaccinated, while liberals were still screaming about "unsafe" the vaccines were last year and telling people (especially black folks) not to get them....only when Trump was president of course.

Now, it's the same vaccines. But, now they're SOOOOOO safe that state and federal government want to force you go get them or else.

A lot of people feel differently about Robert f. Kennedy and believe he's way off base. Is being banned everywhere now a sign that a person knows what they are talking about?

That childhood vaccines cause autism is unproven although it remains controversial. Other disorders with manifestations similar to autism are known to be genetic, such as fragile X. Some studies suggest that autism may be present before a baby is born, although it is not often diagnosed until a child is at least 2 years old.

More children are diagnosed with both autism and ADHD because more is known about these conditions. When I was a kid, nobody besides a couple of psychologists and scientist knew about autism. Autism was first officially identified as a spectrum disorder in 1994. Similarly, not much was known about ADHD when I was a kid including what it actually was. It wasn't until 1987 that the name changed to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Kids who acted out and couldn't concentrate in school weren't immediately put on drugs such as Ritalin. Autistic kids where thought to be crazy.

That we are still learning about these disorders helps explain why they are open to a lot of unproven theories such as being caused by vaccines. The vaccines MMR that some suggest may cause autism have been commonly given to children since the early 60's. Although, autism was first diagnosed in 1943. it was likely around long before that time. Very little was known about it. It was thought to be caused by "cold" and unloving mothers.
