Josh would never harm a child. I will bet my life on it. We're friends but I know he could turn on me in a New York second. But a kid -- no way on Heaven and earth. Just incapable even if it was to save his mother's life. People like Josh are not meant for this world. I'm not saying there is no good in this world but on balance it is a sewer and people, not all, but the majority, are selfish, disgusting, scumbags. They may seem normal, but when they know no one is watching they will do disgusting and evil things. I mean, just look at public bathrooms. Guys take a shit and don't even bother to flush. Sure, just a tiny trivial example but they would never do it in their own homes. If it's not theirs, if they have no stock in the game -- they don't give a shit.
Some people just can't develop that emotional callous that most of us have to do to stay sane. Kids are innocent. Dogs are God's gift to man showing what unconditional love is like. The less Josh has to spend with the masses the better off he is. Give him his dog, fishing pole, and a cabin near a lake and he would be fine never seeing another human being again.
