This Friday and Saturday is a new contest, the Texas Pro in Irving:

The gossiped favored to win is Steve Kucklo although it may be a real contest between him and last week’s Tampa Pro winner Iain Valliere. A lot of eyes will also be on newcomer Martin Fitzwater in his pro debut.

Most of that is going to the open bodybuilding. The other divisions aren't getting jack. Noticeably absent from the lineup is women's bodybuilding.

And there's no pro wellness division, either. Why not pay the gals with booty, booty, booty, booty rockin' everywhere?

Isn’t Women’s Physique the category name now for women’s bodybuilding? (And you have Wellness in the amateur side here.)

No. Dana Linn Bailey was the first Physique Olympia winner. But she's not seen as Ms. Olympia.

I know what you're both saying, and sure, the DLB thing is accurate. But I think in this game there is always 'mission creep' and as a schmoe with interest in this area, I'm seeing physique competitors that would not have looked out of place standing next to the Ms Olympia line-ups of the early '90s

And the bikini girls are creeping up too...

I met Steve as a kid when he did the NPC Teen Nats.....he`s come a long way.
