I get where you guys are coming from, but it's not actually that suspicious. Taliban are in control. They have channels of communication with international NGOs and governments, and will share a lot of information. They've negotiated a lot recently with both. The ISIS group there are quite different and often go around indiscriminately killing. Taliban are usually quick to confirm when they're not involved.

Fair points but apparently most of the victims were afghans trying to bail out of the country so it would seem that the Taliban would have a motive.
