Shawn had blocky legs with zero quad sweep and was relatively narrow which showed mostly in his weak rear lat spread. He did have great arms and good structure and great detail. Overall, a consistently good but overrated pro bodybuilder.

"I was trained as a physician, graduating medical school in 1975 and beginning my internship in Pasadena, CA when I first competed in the 1975 MR. AMERICA in Culver City, CA. I went to Pasadena to train with Bill Pearl with the objective to become the first MD to win the Mr. America title and take preventive medicine and fitness into the future. CF was a strange from what I remember. When I was a kid training at Pearls in Pasadena he was training there as well, along with Dave Johns, Clint Beyerly, Dave Shaw and of course Bill. Can’t really remember specifics (I was only about 14-15) but he did come off as a little strange. Then there’s was the incident where he dropped his trunks at I think the America and mooned the judges because of his placing.

As far as Shawn? Dude has always had an attitude which is why he’s disliked. In the gym, at expos, etc Big fan of his physique, stage presence and posing

Overrated? He was in the top 5 at the Olympia almost his entire career, including 2 runner-up spots (one of which was a travesty, 1994. I rarely do the "uncrowned Mr. Olympia thing". But, if ever there were a case for that it was 1994).
