do you live in nyc? uber aren't cheap anymore, TLC mandates special aka $$$ insurance and there's been a cap on rideshare drivers for the last 3 years after market saturation. Not to mention uber pretty much killed any competition that tried to spring up that wasn't lyft. It's about 10 dollars a mile to hop in a uber these days

You can walk faster than a car in Manhattan you moron. I lived in Brooklyn as a kid and Manhattan as an adult. You absolutely walk several miles a day just going to and from work and school

I am assuming he walks the dogs several miles in addition to what most New Yorkers walk but I could see the average New Yorker walking 7 miles a day easy

yep, usually walk them an hour before work, an hour at lunchtime and then 2 hours along the greenway before bed to tire them\myself out(they're big dogs)

That is a lot of steps. The average number of steps a person walks per day is 3,000 to 4,000 or or 1.5 to 2 miles. You are walking just under 10.5 miles a day. If you walk a lot of it in the sand, it makes doing this even more impressive.

Coach lives near the ocean. Does this mean his house is 9 steps above flood level in the event of a tsunami. Given that the normal rise in a stairstep is about 7 1/2" this is less than 6' total. Doesn't seem like enough to make a difference. The national weather service considers Huntington Beach to be tsunami ready.
