Apparently the ref only stops fights if the individual tells the ref he may have hurt himself, in this case his shoulder.

The promoter probably had money on Clegg, being this was a sanctioned fight, in an upset so when Bhanks showed weakness after spending 2 rounds pummeling Jamie, but still not being able to knock out a defenseless man, the ref was instructed to call the fight.

The fix was in.
