What does he do all day besides train Tommy? Where does he hang out or couch surf? Does he work part time? Hard to imagine living alone behind Gold's for over 30 years and not getting over it. Why not just work at Golds? They could make a documentary on this guy and it could be hilarious.
You’re not the only person that sees some potential for a real story about Paul. I’m just not sure any portion of the story is that crazy/great.
Paul used to train 4-5 hours per day.
He has ALWAYS had a comped Golds Gym membership. That’s very helpful for showers, restrooms, doing his laundry, etc.
He hangs out in the gym, in his van, down around the beach.
He works odd jobs frequently. He was Golds Gym parking lot security for years.
The last van I checked out- where he was living- had most of the camper type conveniences. Hot plate, microwave, TV, bed, blender, etc.
I know Paul has been offered rooms to live in/share but he likes his independence.
In almost 30 years I’ve never heard him complain about HIS station in life. He told me once, “Tommy (he always calls me Tommy LOL) I’ve seen the enemy. I know who my enemy is… it’s me.”
