Radio host who interviewed Biden leaves station after admitting campaign aides gave her pre-selected questions

Radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders has resigned from WURD Radio after admitting her post-debate interview with President Joe Biden included questions that were pre-selected by Biden’s campaign team, the station told CNN Sunday.

“The interview featured pre-determined questions provided by the White House, which violates our practice of remaining an independent media outlet accountable to our listeners,” Sara Lomax, president and CEO of the Philadelphia-based station, announced in a statement posted Sunday on its website. “As a result, Ms. Lawful-Sanders and WURD Radio have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately.”

WURD is Pennsylvania’s only Black-owned talk radio station. Lomax said the station prides itself on being an independent, trustworthy voice for its primary audience of Black Philadelphians and that using questions that were provided ahead of time “jeopardizes that trust and is not a practice that WURD Radio engages in or endorses as a matter of practice or official policy.”

“WURD Radio is not a mouthpiece for the Biden or any other Administration,” she added.

President Joe Biden said Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he was not dropping out of the race because he believed the average voter still wanted him to run.

Biden said, “All the data, all the data shows that the average Democrat out there voted, and 14 million of them had voted for me. Still want me to be the nominee. Number one. Number two, the idea that Donald Trump is, has gained in any substantial way has his his arguments for why he should be president is any more convincing than a was, two weeks or three weeks ago. It’s just not there. We’re just getting and we’re just starting to focus on Trump a lot. I attended services, spoke to over 600 people at Mount Airy Church of God in Christ in Philly. I stopped by campaign field offices with John Fetterman and Madeleine Lee. Both strongly supported me. I believe the president and first lady. We spoke at a campaign ice cream social for me, Council 13 in Harrisburg, 40 minutes after we spoke with supporters, stopped by Dunham Coffee. I mean, I was with the governor of Pennsylvania, who still strongly supported me. I mean, so, look, and the fact is that this week I’m going to be hosting a NATO summit here in DC, can hold a press conference on Thursday and Wednesday. I met with the national union leaders of the AFL CIO. On Friday, I traveled to Detroit, Michigan for campaign event for, you know, just on down the line.”

Unless someone is either lying or is mistaken, from what I understand there are only a couple of options for President Biden to be out of the candidacy according to the U.S. constitution. He voluntarily steps down or he dies, in which case VP Kamala Harris would step in and would also most likely become the replacement candidate.

I wrote nothing about what the media focused on. This was not an either - or situation. The media I watched covered Biden's lies and his performance simultaneously immediately following the debate. This may not have been the case with whatever media you subscribe to. I was addressing my experience, not anyone else's.

Since those first several minutes following the, the media (that I watch and subscribe to) indeed focused on Biden's debate performance, and his unwillingness to step down despite calls from his own people to do so.

It was pointed out in another response, politicians are prone to lying as is anyone who focuses on telling people what they want to hear rather than what is true. I also voted for Jimmy Carter, who may have told the fewest lies. 

If you were old enough to vote and you actually do vote, you likely voted for Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, George H.W. Bush, his son George Bush, and the biggest liar of them all Donald Trump. So does this mean you approve of liars and lying?
