Much in the same way ivermectin is called a horse dewormer when in reality it's been used on humans for decades and won a Noble Peace prize. Let me know if you need any other examples.

Not inferring anything of the kind. MSM reports what it knows and what sells. Pharma has been caught lying to the public many times. Purdue Pharma owned by members of the Sackler family and producer of the drug OxyContin was accused and sued for misrepresenting it. Politicians, like Biden and Trump say and do whatever it takes to get elected and then to stay in office....often because they are power hungry. At the same time they forget why they were elected and who put them in office.
Here's one example of a politician doing the opposite of what most of his constituency expected of him. Rep. Kurt Schrader, Democrat is my area's congressional representative. He's held that position since 2009....meaning he's been reelected several times. I once enjoyed lunch with him in the Senate dining room in D.C. Just recently Schrader was one of the three Democrats — including Rep. Scott Peters of California and Rep. Kathleen Rice of New York to vote against a bill that would allow the U.S. government to negotiate the price of prescription drugs. -Just yesterday, I received and email announcing a protest rally at his nearby office tomorrow afternoon. Although rallies aren't my thing, I may participate in this one because it is important he know people are upset with his stance on this issue.
