Metformin is actually the new anti aging drug being touted by the new age drug addicts gurus on the tube.
I rembered this article regarding biological age:
https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-019-02638-w
For one year, nine healthy volunteers took a cocktail of three common drugs — growth hormone and two diabetes medications — and on average shed 2.5 years of their biological ages, measured by analysing marks on a person’s genomes. The participants’ immune systems also showed signs of rejuvenation.

Evidence from animal and some human studies shows that growth hormone stimulates regeneration of the thymus. But this hormone can also promote diabetes, so the trial included two widely used anti-diabetic drugs, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and metformin, in the treatment cocktail.I have a friend who last competed at the age of 39. Now at 42 he's doing a "comeback." I figured that since insulin sensitivity is so important in bodybuilding that metformin might be a good drug to use. So he's been on it since his last show. He's been on HRT since then and about to ramp things up with a bodybuilding cocktail, gh, roids and insulin. We'll see how he responds. Will be hard to put anything on one drug but I figured it would probably not hurt to take it.
It's been very popular in bb the last few years. It has other possible benefits, like to cholesterol, inflammation suppression, body composition improvement etc.
What is your hunch on this stuff Walter?
