The main issue is that the print media, as it applies to relationships, has been been kidnapped by fat ugly feminists who push a different agenda than that which the female gender is really looking for. It’s all a mirage. Make belief. What's also happening is the valuing of degrees of people by employers that value their degree. This can be seen in hiring in some companies where they hire a person with a degree in any major over a high school degree. I can remember when a major rent a car company who I can't remember the name, maybe Hertz prior to covid wouldn't hire you to be a cashier renting out cars unless you had a degree in any topic.

Yeah, they bragged about it. I went to school 4 years so that I could work for Hertz.

My Gf's friend was telling us a few weeks ago about how she is underpaid. Works in HR for a small trucking company in Texas; has a degree in finance. Was all mad because the truck drivers make more than she does. Asked the Owner for a raise and he said no, She says it's because she is a woman.

I asked her why she doesn't leave and find a better job? Maybe work in finance for a finance company? She said because the City she works in is predominately male and her pay would never change. Completely avoided my question.

Why would any guy be cocky because he has a college degree?  It was a big deal in the 1950's but now everyone has one like a high school diploma. Like the saying goes, when everyone has a diploma no one has a diploma. Most college graduates can't find a job that allows them to move out of the their Mom's house. 

Know who has a right to be cocky?  A guy that went to trade school and owns his own plumbing business living in a big house with a nice paid off Mercedes out front.

College degrees are a dime a dozen now- so they lack standing. Even a 4 year engineering degree from a major university isn't what it used to be- they have so watered down the coursework it is silly.


That's why plumbers, welders, truck drivers, etc, now make in excess of $100K a year - because they have skillz.

It's only about 1/3 in the US that have a 4 year college degree.  So it is still a big deal and far far from everybody.  It's a smart strategy that roughly, roughly correlates with income.
