ok,so italian name gaetano shortened yes is usually guy or gary ,its said in jersey like guy'tano,im sure in italian dialect it would sound like ;gay'tano ,,,long story short i went to school with a gaetana and we called her 'gay'

I just wish he would spell it Gae, so as to not confuse it for the French name Guy.
Maybe I say this as a Canadian who was in French Immersion who had a friend named Guy - and maybe this wouldn't matter as much in the USA, unless you were in Louisiana. But I asked one of the who BSN girls where Guy was - pronouncing it the French way that rhymes with E, and she had no clue who I was talking about.
Like HOLY FUCK, dumb bitch - you know a GUY, and I'm asking to find me a GI. How difficult must it be to find a person with one syllable name starting with G?
If he shortened his name to Gae, it would end that confusion, because Guy [rhymes with E] is a real name.
