Looks obviously help, but pure physical attraction is different for males vs females:

The avg guy mostly cares about her looks and acting sweet/flirty with him.

The avg female  cares about looks, BUT is more into an overall image and package.


Men want  girls THEY desire and will take care of them.

Females want to be desired and taken care of by these men.

1. I don't think getting married or having kids is for everyone.
If you're more happy dating and single, then stay the course.

No, looks matter a lot, especially for young guys. Young guys aren't expected to have a lot of money but it becomes more important as you age. Even then rich ugly guys end up with ugly or average women. Look at Bezos' ex wife and current girlfriend. Zuckerberg, Phil Collins, Tom Hanks, many Hollywood guys, etc, etc.

Honestly the wall hits earlier, try 24 (refer to first graph in said article) and all men of all ages want a 20 year old (check second graph). Funny thing about the second graph is that the age doesn't go younger any than 20, but if it went to say 18 would that be the desired age for all men of all ages?

Until  modern medicine, there was a much greater risk of maternal death during childbirth.

In the modern world, women want to bear children in their mid 30's and early 40's now for financial /lifestyle reasons.
Sounds reasonable, but mother nature is a real bi-atch.
The best biological age is  around 18-29 for most females .  Biological vs economic needs don't always line up.
