For the record..these are the same “fact checkers” that our resident liberal/Marxists use on here to try to make their points


LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST FACEBOOK!

Facebook finally admits that their so-called “fact-checkers” are just opinion checkers. The truth came out in a court of law from a lawsuit filed against Facebook by journalist John Stossel. Facebook finally admitted in court that their fact-checkers “are mere statements of opinion rather than factual assertions.”

Interestingly, Facebook calls them fact-checkers until it comes time to appear in court when they finally admit that they are not fact-checkers but simply people’s opinions. It would appear that this has the potential to open up a massive lawsuit against Facebook for all the people who had had their content taken down due to it being labeled as false by Facebook when in reality, it was just someone who disagreed with the information.

That is not at all what the issue was here. Facebook tags articles as being disputed by 3rd parties and then links to those articles. Stossel is suing facebook based on what a third party wrote. Saying that a third party disputes the veracity of an article is an opinion, it's not a statement of fact, which is what was claimed in the legal filing.

It's all a propaganda tool, which is no surprise.
There some usefulness for dissident parties on there too but once you attain a certain size you're banned quickly.

I know that close to 2 billion people use FaceBook, but I just refuse to fall under Zuckerberg's control. Fuck FaceBook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

You left out of the equation that facebook picks their fact checkers and they all belong to the same Poynter fact checking group that spins for the left.  They are not independent fact checkers when face book is picking them to be the arbiters of truth. No liberal Democrats. You don't own the truth.  They are your spin opinions. You can't cancel other people's opinions by saying fact or science like it's the last word. Scientist disagree as well as opinions have two sides. It's more manipulation of the masses to guide them to Zuckerberg's agenda in politics.
