I know people in Arizona, Texas and Florida and I think those 3 states are pretty much wide open, no mask or vaccine mandates and kids in schools without masks and businesses, sporting events and concerts etc. open  I know many millions in these states are living their lives as if this is over and have personally seen it myself. 

I think it's hard for someone in California or New York or Oregon to fathom or believe this, but it's true.

Stopped into a store today, went walking toward a FATASS, siping something probably a soda. She’s see me coming towards her mask less of course and she quickly pulled up her mask. LOL of the day for me. Great State of Florida.

I'm frankly kind of surprised that not many chime ins from open states.  I think that means we have an over-representation of posts here from Leftist states and non-US posters.

Ive lived and worked in NC and Las Vegas this year - mostly in fitness/gyms


I wear a mask for business - like meeting new people/clients - that's usually it - sometimes I when Im in certain businesses I wear one just to not piss anyone off

I got vaxed for the Army but I'd rather be working - if I sit around and take roids with nothing to do all I think about is killing myself or tripping my face off

It correlates well with gun ownership too. When I lived in NY you needed to go before a judge to get a pistol permit. Here in SC I got one in about an hour after i walked into the store.
For the leftists on this board, the murder rate in my city is 1/4 the rate of the city I lived in NY, based on per capita numbers.

I moved to South Carolina for the weather, which i love. But the lower taxes and lack of hassle by state and local officials is a pleasant surprise. For example, there was a radar trap set up practically every day on the road I took to work in NY. At least one but often two or three. I had a radar detector that went off like a 5 alarm fire gong in the span of 10 miles of driving. In South Carolina, there are zero hassles. I think I saw one radar trap in 10 years. And no, there aren't any more accidents here than there, lol. My brother was a cop in NY and he admitted the radar traps were purely for revenue.

You tend to forget in NY that the government is a nanny state. When you leave you realize what true freedom is.

I live in suburban Detroit (Michigan for the retards on the board).  We are open.  Have been all year.  We also have one of if not the highest rates of covid in the country and are lagging behind the rest of the country in terms of vaccinated percentage.  That being said, I want us to remain open and believe that we will.
