Always regret not going to AC to witness a Gatti fight live. Hearing his AC/DC ring walk song was electric via the television. Can only imagine what it must have been like live. RIP.

Another virtual war is with Ward facing Emmanuel Burton.

Burton had a terrible win to los ratio/record because he would fight at times - four to five times a month on short notice.

Mickey had no idea it would be another blood and guts affair.....if you`ve never seen it watch it NOW and thank me later.

Watched it live back on ESPN's Friday Night Fights! That fight was ridiculous! Do you remember Tuesday Night Fights on the USA network? Ran from like 1980-1998. Was the best weekly boxing show of my lifetime. The Champ Sean O'Grady and one of the Albert brothers called the fights. They did the best job of showcasing fighters and building a following. As well as showed lots of guys like Larry Holmes, Pazienza and others who were past their primes but trying to mount comebacks.

Mayweather fought Andre Ward shortly after his Gatti trilogy. It was a complete mismatch Mayweather was in his prime and outclasses him was just way to fast. He hit Andre with like a thousand jabs in a row without being touched by anything before they stopped the fight. And fuck yes I would beat those dudes in 30 seconds they were 140lbs

I saw the fight live Arturo Gatti whatever the point is he got destroyed by Mayweather. Gatti could not land a punch. Ward and Gatti were basically club level fighters yes great rock em sock em robot wars but not elite world beaters.

Andre Ward is simply a different fighter it is like 8am I hadn't even had my coffee. Ward went blind from those fights and Gatti got so much CTS he killed himself or was possibly murdered. Regardless it didn't end well for either of them

No. He's not even in the conversation. He is the best matchmaker/cherry picker/ promoter. Too many misses in his resume. Too many fights after the other guy was past his best. He's top 50 all time for sure. The Roy Jones of 1989-2004 is the best fighter I've ever seen. On his best night, I favor him over any sub 200lb fighter ever save for Ezzard Charles. Michael Spinks would be a tough one as well. Roy was a bigger, faster, stronger, heavier handed version of Ray Charles Leonard.
