Ngannou punches looks tremendously powerful because none of the UFC fighters roll with them. They all catch them clean and after doing big big defensives mistakes. Miocic walked with his face right toward that left jab/hook after being hurt. With his chin just all over the place waiting for a KO. You think Fury is gonna do that? He's so slick, hell even a 2015 Klitschko couldn't bother him. His first KD against wilder was a dive that showed very high IQ

I think Wilder is a bigger puncher and even if Ngannou is powerful, Fury could just jab him and reset for 6 rounds until Ngannou is tired and then he'll play with his confidence until he breakdown in fashion.

Ngannou wouldn't land one punch, its not a fair fight, as a pure boxer he wouldn't rate that highly, the top ten or twenty heavyweights would easily handle him. Boxing is far different to MMA.

They are talking about using MMA gloves which would even it up a bit. Make it 6 rounds instead of 12 and it is an interesting fight. Remember Pauli Magliani lost in bare knuckle boxing to a 3rd string UFC washout. Take away the big gloves and its an entirely different fight. What Frances hits with a 4 ounce glove he destroys. The boxer is going to have a much harder time blocking punches with smaller gloves.

In boxing gloves, it's a joke.  Francis doesn't have the technique to maximize torque with boxing gloves.  Fury embarrasses him.  Much like Connor when he fought Floyd.  Connor hits like a sissy in boxing gloves.  4 ounce gloves at least makes it interesting.  I would still make Fury a sizeable favorite though. 

4 oz gloves and 5 minute rounds has long been my solution to making womens boxing not just entertaining but watchable.  Claressa Shields is like watching paint dry.

I think Fury may have the best punch resistance in the division.  4 knockdowns and at least 6 shots right in the button over 3 fights.  Ng may be a powerhouse rolling around on the canvas but I highly doubt he has any technique close to Wilder's ability to detonate his right hand.

Have you guys put your hands in professional fight gloves? There's really not much padding at all over the knuckle area - 8 oz Reyes or Everlast gloves are brutal. The padding over the metacarpal and thumb areas make them look deceptively big. You become conditioned to whatever it is you're training and fighting with, e.g. MMA gloves, boxing gloves, bareknuckle. it doesn't make that much difference. A huge puncher will kill you if he lands with any of them. And a feather duster will still bore the hell out of you if they're fighting bareknuckle.

The punch wth boxing gloves is more devastating because there's less chance of a broken hand. Bare knuckle may give the opponent cuts but the puncher will hurt his hands on the process and will punch carefully ( so less power ) for that particular reason.
