Yeah, I know what you mean. Cinematically it looks nice on a modern big TV, but the 'action' I think should be considered in the context of the late '50s - I'm not surprised it shocked those audiences. Fast forward 40/50 years to things like 'Saw' and 'Human Centipede' and it loses a bit of impact

Are you going to watch Psycho 2 (1983)? I found it really enjoyable, and I didn't see the twist coming. However, I am pretty slow off the mark with things like that (6th Sense, The Matrix, etc. all fooled me until the reveal) so a smarter GetBigger might see it coming a mile away

Oh, and talking of plot twists - and now this is a thriller rather than a horror, so maybe not for this thread - but I just watched 'Shutter Island' (2013) recently...

Really enjoyed it - had me guessing until literally the last few lines of dialogue and then a few moments after the last words I suddenly got it!! Taffin recommended

Psycho 3 was also good. Meg Tilly was sexy af back in the day.
