FOLLOW UP ?: Grown Men That Are Into Fantasy Football.
« on: January 09, 2022, 07:37:40 AM »
Goodmorrow,

I've noticed men with PH.D's, master's degrees, top of the line education all the way down to GED's are into Fantasy Football. I basically know nothing about this but it seems to breed excitement into these men when they start talking about it. It also seems to make sure to chain these men into watching the games to see if their players have done well.

So, Is Fantasy Football fun and worth it for a grown man to partake in or is it just a time waster? It is my understanding that some of these leagues provide a prize if your team wins of monetary value so is it basically gambling covered up?

I too was confused about what the hell Fantasy Football was. Then Doug Stanhope explained it. Not my flavor but to each his own.

Plus it's racist.  It has created a digital plantation cosplay. Madden had a lot to do with it too.  ;D

Quote
'I have a lot of opinions on John Madden,' McGregor tweeted. 'The creation of the Madden video game was not a great development for the U.S. It further glamorized violence and dehumanized Black athletes, helping to establish plantation cosplay that has grown worse in the era of fantasy football.'

'It glamorized athletes, using their name for profits while encouraging fans to disregard the humanity. Madden built a digital plantation,' he added in another tweet.

me neither I have been watching football for over 50 years but never did this fantasy thing. My problem with it is if you have a favorite team you might end up rooting for a running back on the other team to run for a hundred yards or something like that

Did it back in the 90's when it first started. Much prefer just wagering games.
