Bleach's Rangiku Gets Gorgeous Pro Cosplay

It may seem like a lifetime ago, but Bleach reigned as one of the shonen elite series years ago. Characters like Ichigo and Rukia kept the story afloat while other Soul Reapers charmed their fair share of fans, but few could bat an eyelash like Rangiku Matsumoto. The busty Soul Reaper was as pretty as she was complex, and that is what prompted one pro cosplayer to give the Bleach heroine their time of day. This gorgeous look by the Kano Sisters is certainly showy, but it shows off Rangiku's flirty side ahead of the anime's big comeback next year.

Rangiku Matsumoto is one such character. Although she had made her impact quite early on thanks to Kubo's buxom character design, as the lieutenant of the tenth division Rangiku made her mark on the series is plenty of other ways that go far beyond that initial impact from the design. But a strong design is a strong design.

It's especially strong too given how well it can be brought to life through cosplay, and one pro proved just that. Famous cosplay artist duo Kyoko and Mika Kano, otherwise known as the Kano Sisters (who you can find on Instagram here), often make big waves with each of their takes and now Mika Kano has struck a chord with Bleach fans with her stunning take on Rangiku Matsumoto. Yuck.  That thing was terrible. I could only stand perhaps 36 seconds of it's hideous "vocalizations" before I began to contemplate suicide.  Fucking talentless sireen.

I much prefer Karen Carpenter, Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell, June Christy, Nancy Wilson (not the creature from "Heart") and many more women with genuine talent.    That sound emanating from it must surely be the welcoming drone to Hades...
