Anyone here drink raw milk? I've been thinking about trying it, heard it has tons of benefits, wondering if anyone here has any experience with it.
Tried it once but only at a dairy farm. That's really the only place to get it and not be worried about bacteria. The process of pasteurizing milk became widely used because it was shown that raw milk that sat around for a few days was a veritable trove of dangerous bacteria. That being said, the advantage of raw milk is the proteins are not altered by the heat used in pasteurization and as a result have very beneficial properties. But it has to be really fresh or you run the risk of getting incredibly sick, which pretty much negates any benefit...
I drink a gallon of raw goats milk every day
I've heard that goats stop giving milk fast if they're unwell but cows keep producing, so goats are safer. Also heard tuberculosis is the main concern with raw cow milk.I've had some excellent goat milk from a farm. Not gamey at all. Figure it was due to their diet. Do you raise your own?
Brucellosis injections, fewer calories
brucell if true
But, is this healthy?
You are taking a risk drinking raw milk for zero perceived benefit plus it costs more.
Stick to breast milk.
