My luck ran out this morning, COVID-positive (nh).
What are getbig’s help/recovery tips and best practices? I’m a muscular 171 lbs.
Had it bad about a month ago, that made twice. First time it was gone in about 4-5 days, this second time it took about ten. It wasn't like being hit with a death ray, just a general "I feel like crap" feeling. The biggest thing I got out of it was -
1) Really try to keep hydrated, the feeling of dehydration was a bitch throughout the thing. I was basically chugging down Pedialyte, Gatorade, etc.... trying to stay hydrated.
2) Try to sleep, it was the best way to deal with it. I did what I needed to do for the day, then I just slept.
3) Keep something like Dayquil and Nyquil handy. They were a life saver for dealing with body aches, etc.... and being a little more with it when I had to do things like deal with people over the phone, etc.....
4) I wouldn't worry about diet. My appetite went away for most of the course of it. Some days, I was lucky to get one meal in. I just played it by feel. You'll know it's breaking when your appetite comes back. I went from not caring about food, to ravenous overnight, and I was done with the whole mess a day or two later.
I still wound up 10-12 pounds lighter.
