The vaccine most certainly mitigates awful outcomes.
Aside from vaccine adverse events, which I haven't studied in detail [I have spent the past 18 months studying the effects of the VIRUS...not the vaccine - yet anyway...time will tell...], I would agree that it APPEARS that the vaccine prevents extreme outcomes.
However, consider this:
The Canadian Covid death average is 303 per week in Canada.
Yet Canada surpassed 900 deaths both last week and the week before.
Could that just be a winter spike in deaths?
How about this:
Canada had around 15,200 virus deaths in 2020.
Canada had 14,600 virus deaths in 2021.
In 2020, no one in Canada was vaccinated.
In 2021, people rushed to get vaccinated.
Canada is now something like 78% vaccinated. Many of those unvaccinated are children under five, and babies - who don't die of the virus.
So despite something like 83% of people vaccinated in the group that comprises is virtually 100% of the deaths, we are on track to have as many deaths as 2020, when NO ONE was vaccinated.
So...explain that one? Especially given that Canada has INCREASED lockdowns in 2021, while most of the same USA have moved on with their lives.
So, I don't know. ICU numbers appear down...but it seems like deaths are not impacted..as if all the people who were going to die of this virus are still dying. Possibly because the only people "dying of Covid" were dying anyway.

AbrahamG - look up Nathanael Spitzer from Alberta. He was a 14-year-old who died of terminal brain cancer. Two days before he died, he was given a PCR test, "tested positive" for Covid, and was classified as a Covid death, and his death was announced nationally by Alberta's top quack doctor, Deena Hinshaw, until his family lost their shit in a Facebook post that went viral.
His death was then removed from the Alberta/Canadian data, published by PHAC. Because a week later, one death was removed from the 12-19 age category.

Dr. Roger Hodkinson said that insurance companies released data stating that deaths in the 20-40 age group in North America went up by 40%!!!
They weren't dying of Covid...so why were they dying???
