Thats true. I found the leads "acting" to be laughably bad. I also thought the fight scenes were well choreographed but poorly acted.

I have read every Reacher book all 26. In the book reacher is 6'5 250lbs with fists the size of dinner plates. Alan actually
measured his hands on dinner plates and has them. People liked Cruise as a fan but after reading about this huge dude intimating
people Cruz didnt have that. The Prime series was great and this guy nailed the rule as reacher. All the books are awesome. Reacher is just a drifter that finds trouble
and solves it anywhere he goes. I look forward to season 2. Lee Child the author did a cameo at the end of the series and is a big part of making this series
fit his books.

I rememeber watching Enter the Dragon when I was a kid, all impressed by Bruce fighting all the guards in the courtyard scene at the end.
My dad said "all they need to do is all throw their shoes at him".  ;D

Lots of filming in Georgia these days- and as much as I hate the Hollywood mindset, California is a much better place visually to make movies and TV shows.

It’s because Georgia are nuts about masks and vaccines like Cali.  There are a lot of studios in Atlanta.

Wow - didn't catch that! I stand corrected. I was fooled by the fictional Georgia town they claimed they were in. Ontario is even more boring geographically 😀 I used to go there lots in college while I was bicycle racing. Except for Lake Ontario and the Niagara region it looks like Nebraska!

Just finished the first episode - enjoyed it - it's like chewing gum for the brain.  I don't really like that much gore or suspense, so the fact you know Reacher's going to just train-track through everything and everyone he needs to means I can just sit back and enjoy it - I found the first 'Taken' movie to be the same, and to a certain extent John Wick is almost that immortal(ish)

Good twist near the end too - will watch the next episode and meantime try to avoid any spoilers in this thread! ;D

My wife and I watched the series and enjoyed it. I like the dry sense of humor that develops between the characters  as the episodes go on.
Last episode had a bunch of unbelievable parts. Getting hit repeatedly with a tire iron and no broken bones  :-\  And after the explosions having him come walking out no problem.
My wife actually said he’ll come walking out like he’s Arnold.


…but still liked it and will watch season 2.

Shows always do this because they want one of the major bad guys to "get some shots in"......the problem is Reacher should have dismantled that dude instantly, but they wanted to make it a fight, and ended up making it stupid.  Reacher would have two shattered forearms and a broken skull.
