Now that she's done the typical politician flip/flop, she's soft on crime. Back when she was withholding evidence so she could lock up black dudes for smoking weed while she was getting high, she was tougher on crime. Politicians change their opinions constantly, try to keep up PrimeBiden.

Tell me something I don't already know. I have been involved in politics probably longer than you've been able to vote.

Why stop there bro? I’d love to paint my jizz on her lips with my dick. Preferably after going ATM for a little added color.

I'm disappointed in myself.  I'll do better going forward.

"Republicans are attacking Kamala Harris for being soft on crime." Guess they have this wrong then, huh?

Clarification and context. She's tough on black citizens but illegals can do what they want. The reason the former is getting locked up is the flow of drugs from the latter.

Your comments about VP Harris are stale dated and irrelevant. She is no longer either a district attorney or attorney general in California. Therefore, she is not locking anyone up today, in 2024.

Two decades ago, VP Harries was elected  San Francisco's district attorney in 2004, serving for six years before being elected the state attorney general in 2010. It was her job to prosecute people who were charged with breaking the law at that time. Laws change over time. For example, cannabis possession was legalized with the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, which passed in November 2016. The penalty for drug possession in 2004 was more severe than it is today in California.

Bullshit. It shows she has a history of lying to "win", it shows that she has a very "ok for me, not for thee" type of outlook on the law and it's enforcement.
Why are you so intent on voting your party line rather than with common sense? You're old enough to know better but you constantly show that you don't outgrow bad decisions.

When you accuse anyone including VP Harris with a history of lying to win, you must provide concrete and provable examples of this, or your accusation will not be taken seriously by any sensible person. As I stated before, most politicians are known to tell people what they want to hear to get elected even when it means stretching the truth.

Oh yeah, she was a prosecutor who enforced a law she herself admits having broken when she smoked pot while she was still in college and before she became a prosecutor and attorney general... no BFD and you know that it isn't. FYI, I do not consider myself a drug user in any way, and yet I tried smoking a joint on three different occasions when I was in my early twenties.

Have you looked into her history? Of course not, you just blindly vote along party lines and claim she's the best candidate. That's pretty lame, even for an old guy like you.

So you don’t think her past being an AG and a DA has nothing to do with the present? It literally has everything to do with it and it carried on all the way when she was installed as VP and one could argue that her agenda has got even more radical during her time as VP, especially voting in lockstep with Biden and being the tie breaking vote for “green new deal” that plunged this country further into debt causing inflation to skyrocket.

I think a lot of folks are rallying for VP Kamala Harris and I expect the support to increase when she picks a running mate.

About 10,000 folks attended the rally in Atlanta and cheered loudly when VP Harris challenged Trump to, ‘say it to my face.’

It will be interesting to see if Trump and Vance attract as large or larger crowd in Atlanta next Saturday. Their rally will be held at the same venue.

Trump doesn't need to have a free concert headlined by rappers to draw crowds.

But I'm sure they all would have went if it was just Kamala lol.

You could be right in that all those folks sat through a 1:30 long rally in order to see Mega Three Stallion perform for less than 10-minutes, and then politely stayed there for VP Harris' 30-minute campaign speech, and not only that the crowd was still awake at the end of the rally... amazing huh?

Note: The only reason I did not attend VP Harris’ campaign rally is because I never heard of Mega Three Stallion and therefore knew nothing about them still don't because that was the part of the rally, I skipped.

She had the chance today which was the very next day she said “say it to my face” but she was a no show.

Yeah, if that is true and Trump went there under the guise that Harris was going to be there, that's weak.

VP Harris very clearly referred the scheduled debate when she challenged Trump to say it to her face when she said during the Atlanta rally, “Well Donald,” she said, addressing him head-on. “I do hope you’ll reconsider. Meet me on the debate stage ... because as the saying goes, if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”

On 7/31/2024 Trump showed up for an interview at a convention of black journalist because it was an opportunity for him to address a constituency he has long been looking to attract. Typically, and unfortunately for him, he made a total ass of himself during said interview.

Yesterday evening, 'CNN conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings did not mince words when it came to Donald Trump’s disastrous appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention on Wednesday.'

“He did crap the bed today,” Jennings said. “The only question is whether he’s gonna roll around in it or get up and change the sheets.”

What kind of response did you expect coming from leftist rags? Fact is Scott got rolled because Trump turned the tables on her. My suggestion to you is to actually watch the uncut, FULL interview.

What makes you think I did not watch the whole interview? I did. This is about Trump's habit of not thinking before he speaks, not about Scott's interview skills. Trump said exactly what he has been quoted as saying. If you don't think he "crapped the bed" when he questioned the race VP Harris identifies as being, I believe you will be proved wrong. Trump needs the black vote. His comments were insulting to black folks as well as folks who are bi-racial.

In 2020 10% of the U.S. population, which was about 34 million folks self-identified as being multi-racial. In 2021, 40 million folks identified as black or African American. Altogether that is nearly 75 million potential voters.

Most people by now know that VP Harris' father is a black Jamaican - American man and her mother who raised her is South Asian and who immigrated to the U.S. from India. No politician with an ounce of intelligence and good sense would question someone's mixed-racial heritage unless they were hoping to lose a national election in the U.S. What he said was just plain stupid.

'Goodness gracious,' Ted Simons' Kari Lake interview was great TV

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=%27Goodness+gracious%2C%27+Ted+Simons%27+Kari+Lake+interview+was+great+TV

You've heard the complaints that journalists either can't or won't effectively push back on lies and misstatements by political candidates — basically that by not calling out Donald Trump and like-minded candidates, they're normalizing a fact-free environment.

That's true in a lot of cases. But if you want to see how it's done right, watch Ted Simons' interview with Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Arizona, that took place on Oct. 3 on "Arizona Horizon" on Arizona PBS. He was patient, insistent and fair. Lake was Lake. She wouldn't acknowledge that she lost the 2022 election for governor, for instance, despite Simons giving her several opportunities. Simons kept asking.

"I think you're pushing back," Lake said at one point. That's his job. You'd think a former journalist would know that.
Ted Simons conducted a masterclass in interviewing Kari Lake

It's a cliche, but it's also true: This was a masterclass in interviewing a difficult subject. Every reporter covering the election, from president of the United States to dog catcher, should watch it.

On the other hand, at least Lake showed up. This was supposed to be a debate between Lake and Ruben Gallego, the Democratic candidate, as part of the station's "AZ Votes 2024" coverage. Gallego declined to debate, so they offered both candidates one-on-one interviews. Lake accepted; Simons said the station is still working to secure an interview with Gallego.

After introductions, Simons, in his words, got down to it.

"Do you still maintain that you won the 2022 governor's race?" he asked.

"We had a lot of problems in the 2022 race and we're fighting to have election integrity" Lake responded. "It wasn't run properly. It wasn't run lawfully." Simons pointed out that there has been no proven evidence of this, including in several courtrooms. They went back and forth.

"Problems are one thing. But claims of election fraud, of an election being rigged, and again, that you rightfully won the election, that's a whole different thing. And it comes to judgment of character. I'm not just bringing this up to bring it up. Arizona voters want to know, should they send someone to Washington ... who's tilting at windmills here?"

That's how it's done. Or at least how it should be done. Simons brought facts to the argument. Lake brought generalities. And he held her feet to the fire. Her supporters doubtless will claim bias. But this was just good journalism, plain and simple.

At one point Lake kept saying that Gallego and Simons agreed on issues, implying that they are somehow in league together. Simons politely asked her to stop.
Simons didn't avoid any topics, no matter how prickly

Simons didn't avoid any prickly questions. He noted that while Gallego leads Lake in polls, Trump is polling ahead of Kamala Harris in Arizona. Why, he asked, is that? Lake said that she didn't trust the polls, and that her internal polling actually shows her ahead. That's fine. That's typical political rhetoric.

But Simons continued. Could it be Lake's confrontational style that's turning off voters?

"I'm sorry if my personality turns you off, Ted," Lake said. "I'm not trying to turn you on."

OK, that was actually kind of funny. But Simons hit on a legitimate point. The attack-all-your-opponents style (perceived or otherwise) seems to work best for Trump, not so much for the politicians who so obviously model their campaign personalities on his. And as Simons pointed out, she was confrontational during the interview.

At the end they made nice. Earlier Lake had accused Simons of debating her, not interviewing her — again, she knows better, but it's a way to fight back. Simons said that it was not a debate, and asked Lake if it was a "robust" interview.

"I think it could have been a little fairer, Ted," Lake said.

"Oh my goodness gracious, I'm sorry you feel that way," Simons responded.

He had made his point. So had she. And it was there for everyone to see.
